Yes

Does Skinner say "Egads" or "Ye gods" when he sees his roast ruined?
>>
>>144640345
Not canon.
>>
>>144640401
He says "Ye Gods" but pronounces it "Egads". It's a regional dialect.

He says "Ye gods."

They should have just made an episode where he was being delusional about the whole thing happening

What region?

Uh... Upstate New York

Well I'm from Utica and I've never heard anyone use the phrase Ye Gods pronounced as Egads.

You ever actually look at a map of New York (state)?
What we think of New York is just this tiny little sliver sandwiched between other states off in the corner, while the majority of the state is just a normal, uneventful place, much the same as the states surrounding it.
I dunno it just made me think.

At least New York has a good city. My state's got fucking Detroit.
>>
>>144640833
Not Detroit!
>>

Thankfully we have Mackinac Island, so our state isn't completely terrible.

Upstate New York actually used to be a really thriving series of metropolises, sort of like mini New York Cities. Utica, Syracuse, Albany, Buffalo, and Rochester all used to be among the largest cities in the US and were rapidly growing. The Upstate region started to see its economy sputter out after WWII and never recovered, but the remnants of when those cities were larger are still around. It's basically an extension of the Rust Belt but New Yorkers don't want to admit it.
