He gets bored whenever he wins, because then he has no other enemies to fight. Doom gets off on the active pursuit of trying to kill/defeat/fuck up someone/something, and that's all there is. He's a hollow manchild who cannot be satisfied. It's depressing if you see it in real world terms, but it's hilarious and oddly adorable and life-affirming when it's transplanted to the capeworld.
