If you name drop Miles Morales in a class room, everyone knows that you're talking about Spider-Man.

You name-drop Barry Allen? You'd be lucky to find 1 kid who recognizes the name.

Wasn't the CW show decently popular?
>>
>>144650515
No. It was cancelled.
>>
>>144650508
Before this turns to shit I'll say this. Even as a kid back in like 2015, I thought he had such a cool origin for a legacy character. No one is ever going to top spinning "with great powers come great responsibility" into his origin moment.

It lasted 9 seasons and got a finale.

FTFY
>>144650519
I want them to actually try to sell Miles all on his own, with no Peter/other Spiders involved.

My 5 year old loves the spider-characters, and Miles is his favorite. Disney has done work getting kids in on the ground floor. DC has nothing for them. I love Young Justice as much as the next person and Superman IS my favorite comic book character, but DC has nothing with their trinity to get kids in at the ground floor.

Can someone make list of big name DC/Marvel characters that have since adopted the name who have replace em as Legacy holders of said name?

Miles's success has led to far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far TOO MANY concurrent codename copiers. Argh.
>>
>>144650515
Not only that but didnt we get a Flash movie at some point
>>
>>144650508
>kept putting him in the same stuff as Peter so he can leech off the success
>call it a legacy
Wow so impressive

Triggering truth.

What's the age demo for CW shows? I don't know any kids who would be caught dead watching that shit. It's all millennials, gen x, and boomers, and they're always the sort who have no taste and generally gave up on life.

Are you, like, a crazy person?

OP is clearly right, Miles is the most popular legacy character of the modern era by a long shot.
But trying to compare Miles with Spidey and Friends, the Sony games, the Spider-Verse movies, etc. to Barry and his CW show, and say that a classroom poll is a good measure of popularity is stupid, because of the demographic differences I mentioned.

It's so silly to me.

The only DC secret identities that normies know are Clark Kent and Bruce Wayne. I know a feller whose dad's first name is Barry and whose middle name is Allan and he used to be a drug dealer in a biker gang. I asked him "Your dad is Barry Allan? Did he sell speed?" and fucking NOBODY got the reference.
>>
>>144650508
But if you namedrop Spider-Man in a classroom, everyone will think you're talking about Peter Parker. That's not winning anything, that's getting carried by another popular character
>>
>>144650508
Ask kids who Spider-Man is and they'll say Peter Parker. Ask kids who Blue Beetle is and they'll say "who?" or Jamie Reyes
>>
Ask people who Captain Marvel is and they are gonna think you are talking about Brie Larson, not the OG guy that died from cancer

What about Gwen Stacy?
Ask who she is, and they’d tell you she’s the blonde spider person, not the the blonde in a skirt who died being thrown off a bridge.

Billy Batson died of cancer?

Turns out when you drop a billion dollars on promoting and trying to force fetish Poochie into being mainstream and don't relent despite numerous failures over a decade+, incredible things can happen

Shame they don't do that for any actually good characters

Nah more people saw the TASM movies than the Spider-Verse movies

Justice League Action was a great attempt, so of course they just cancelled it after only one season.
