A friend told me this is too anime-inspired for a Superman show. It got me thinking about what western cartoons should influence a show like this. Just copying the DCAU/DCAMU isn't appropriate too. I was at a loss at what cartoons in the past 20 years should inspire today's cartoons. Shows like Ben 10, Teen Titans, Gravity Falls, Adventure Time were popular but I see no great lessons that can be pulled from them. What do you think? what cartoons should inspire modern shows today?

>>144660555The country that hasn't produced an action cartoon since Korra shouldn't influence anything.
>>144660563I'm not interested in discussing races of cartoons. Please make your own thread for that, thanks.

>>144660555I don't really mind the anime-inspiration all too much. Yeah I don't love it, but it makes the show stand out which is kind of the whole point. I do wish we had more superhero cartoons inspired by the look of Golden/Silver Age comics. I think of Avengers: Earth Mightiest Heroes paying homage to Jack Kirby with it's artstyle.
