Imagi's management apparently changed in the gap between TMNT and Astro Boy, which is why they are so different.

>late 2006: Imagi Studios gets the rights to make an Astro Boy movie>2007: development starts with Colin Brady as the director. It's planned to be a dark and serious movie that pushes the PG rating>early 2008: executives kick Brady out of the project and get David Bowers to be the new director. Bowers scraps almost everything from the version Brady was developing, and turns the movie into something lighthearted and comedic, plus he gives clothes to Astro>October 2009: the movie premieres and it's a box office failureHere's the only footage from the Colin Brady versionhttps://youtu.be/9rEDMxzShjY?si=eurWZb3_uxoe_SPS

The overall plot isn't very good but IMO it's got the best Leo vs Raph scene in the franchise history and I liked the intro that shows how the turtles might actually have jobs.
>Cat Tale>Tusker>GatchamanForever unfinished. TMNT and Astro Boy are their only finished movies.
It’s got a completely retarded story and its music choices were painfully dated even when it came out. Other than that it’s okay. The character interactions are good. The animation is okay.
