Kinda, yeah. They lost everything to Disney and have to start from scratch. They're banking on this because Dan Harmon is a big name.

They think "adult" cartoons have to be visually bland because they don't want to distract from all the super brilliant dialogue. Considering everyone in this "greek" show is a swarthy sub-saharan, it would be better as a radio play.
