Why doesn't Marvel just fucking make John Walker Kang? With elements of Proctor tossed in so they can do the Gatherers as well?>Every universe where John Walker became the new Cap and didn't have the shield taken from him by Indian Giver Sam Wilson, hell breaks loose and Earth is destroyed.>Earth gets destroyed partly because John Walker, at a critical junction, does something stupid that gets the planet destroyed by Ultron (who uploads himself into white Vision) because Sam Wilson shows up to upstage him in front of the world and John acts rashly to avoid being humiliated again.>However, in one world, John lucks out in that a Kang rescued him because in this world, Ultron survives the destruction of the Earth and enslaves the universe and eventually takes his show on the road to enslave the Multiverse. So he saves John/ensures Ultron dies with Earth.>Kang sadly mentions that John is a natural loser, that the universe and Earth only survives if Sam Wilson humiliates John and steals the Captain America mantle from him.>John kills his benefactor Kang, takes his tech, and starts killing off all the Kangs and eventually fucks up Loki to make him lose all of his new powers and defaults him back to his Thor 1 status quo as he flees to warn Earth about the new "Kang Prime".>Avengers 5 is Ultron uploading himself into White Vision and destroying the Earth, because Kang works with Ultron and kills off Sam's family. Which causes Sam to act rash and fuck up and blow up Earth.>Wanda meanwhile saves a bunch of heroes (the ones who make up the West Coast Avengers) as Sam and his diversity Avengers squad are killed off.>Wanda, Clint, Hank, Jan, Spider-Woman (Sweeney from Madam Web), USAgent John, War Machine, and Moon Knight end up on Battleworld, Kang Prime/John's home where he is protected by the Gatherers: Multiversal Avengers who serve him and consist of Superior Iron Man, Hydra Cap, evil cyborg Yolanda/Black Widow, Maestro, & Kate Bishop.
>Fight culminates in John Walker versus his evil self, while Wanda rescues her kids from Kang Prime/John, who've been brainwashed into thinking they are Tobias and Malachi.>John kills his evil alternate self as the West Coast Avengers beat the Gatherers.>Wanda uses her powers to restore Earth. Hank and Jan also get rejuvenated so they are now young.>Avengers return to Earth, but the casualties from the fight with White Vision stand, so Sam and the diversity crew (Ms. Marvel, She-Hulk, America Chavez, Shang-Chi) are all still dead.>John becomes Captain America at long last as the world cheers, and Wanda is forgiven/brought back into the Avengers with the new team.>Bucky refuses to accept that John has earned the shield and becomes the Winter Soldier again, pledging his loyalty to Doctor Doom so together they can destroy the West Coast Avengers and take over the world.
