Said super special love girl is then gone by the time she shows up in West Coast Avengers and is paired with some Wakandan side character sister of Kate's current boyfriend of that series.Clearly something happened in there, and is still kinda happening given the whole big retcon. I dunno if Gillen, or someone else, came up with her background and then she got utilized in Vengeance before Young Avengers actually "explained" what was up, or if Gillen just saw this strange cipher of a character and went "gonna make the stupidest backstory for this baddy."
