It's nice that this allows us to see Kif & Amy's kids, and you could make the argument that 31st century tech allows for the Planet Express crew to still look young and hot, but any child characters staying the same has to be handwaved. The longer they keep this going, the less special the show will feel. It'll be just like all the other long-running cartoons.
