Like half of them feature a love triangle or pentagon with a woman in the middle.Main issue you dont get them much in movies is that romance movies tend to just be one-ofs, so they never have time to escalate past the love square.There are hardly any romance tv shows. Family focus and friend group focus just seems to do much better.Western men in general dont consume romance stories of any kind, unless you count porn.You sometimes have some harems form in longrunning cartoons like Adventure Time and comics like Spider-man, but either the writers dont care about romance and the relationships stall, or only care about romance when it comes to showing the story is not about male power fantasy and break the relationships.
