While during the 90s you'd have Dick in Blüdhaven, Tim would strike out on his own (with Steph), Jean-Paul would operate away from Gotham, Cass had her own thing going on and was explicitly forbidden from going after costumed crazies. They only came together in HUGE events, like No Man's Land and Batman Fugitive Nowadays you get the whole family during an arc, including the newer ones who don't really add anything. The last time the family was utilized in a clever way was during Tamaki's Arkham Tower (a few members undercover, each family member having specific tasks etc.)
