LE BUMP IS TOO EARLY!!
>>146020588That bad today, huh?I'm slowly compiling information on Sharpshipper and Boss Moss to get wiki pages ready for them. They've reached the point where there's a lot of art and discussion about them that is going to be at risk of being lost or becoming a recursive topic if the info isn't collected somewhere for easy reference.Things would go faster if I actually had free time. But no, I have to try to work even on Sundays.
>>146020780You can just put them in "Miscellaneous Characters" if you're coming up short with filling up whole individual pages for them.

Inside /biz/ there are two wolves: momos and bobosTechnically not wolves but you get the idea
>>146021062Oh, the thing is I'm not coming up short.Sharpshipper I have enough info on her for a page, I just need to comb through the drawpile compilations to isolate more pics of her.Boss Moss I haven't begun to compile info on yet, but the starting point is going to be the epoch timestamps on the old bugdoodle pics I have saved to get an idea of when the character was first introduced to the threads, which was likely 10 years ago. Her info is less cohesive, but still there. The broad strokes of her being kidnapped by a mob to grow their product and then taking them over from the inside were covered in the two page comic, but only a little of her learning about the mafia through movies and thinking that was the norm given her human company was covered. There's a bunch of conversations new and old I need to dig up on her to present the fullest picture of the character that I can.
>>146022153Yeah, that's over ten years ago when Boss Moss was first introduced to the threads.https://desuarchive.org/co/thread/51757550/#51800705No exact date for her though since who knows how long bug had been sitting on those doodles.
Looking through some of the conversations about Boss Moss this past year and I see just how directly they influenced that two page comic.
>>146022838It was very helpful for shoring up her identity!
>>146024014I didn't realize it at first that the pajamas suggestion I made several months ago made it into the comic.
What does Boss Moss think of Faggot Tree? Are they even aware of each other?I feel like they are different species of dryads.
>>146025116Sexual dimorphism?
>>146025116I definitely think BM has something different going on from the Forest of Faggotry folks. First of all, Faggot Tree himself aside (and who knows where he came from?) they all seem to be purpose-built organisms made to advance his goals.
>>146025196That wouldn't explain Pussy Willow being 7 to 9 feet tall.I think Boss Moss is a mandrake type of dryad instead of a tree type. Wasn't her name something like Mandy Gora? I'd have to dig through the pics to find the right spelling, but it's clearly a pun.>>146025233The faggy forest is very much so an extension of FT. Like when a huge tree has a lot of sucker sprouts coming up from its root system to try to make a forest surrounding it beyond typical seed spreading. His magic is on a different level than Boss Moss. He'd probably call her a small time little hussy since she dresses like a boy. That could be funny if he mistakes her for a boy and sees her flirting with a man.

Well besides for the B on the test" he said the last part under his breath>She could feel a vein in her forehead throb at the insolence of the boy>"It's nothing never you mind commoner" theo said through gritted teeth, she usually didn't dislike poorer people but he was a exception>The boy just shrugged, and said "Man recently dumbstruck has been getting a lot of hate huh?">Theo was shocked at this "ew was he a dumbstruck fan bet he beats it to her what a loser" she thought>This made Theo feel a bit better she shined with a cat like glee, knowing her rival idolized her made her snicker of course he did she was his better

I think she's the type to be a hero just for the sake of it" He said matter of factly>Theo hated how right he was about dumbstruck's nature.>As if by divine providence a siren blared meaning something serious was going on and a hero was needed>She rushed out with some excuse about buying out a mom and pop company.>It was best to just go for these things than let her come out herself causing problems.>He was right though as she transformed into the hardworking heroine, they both thought in unison>"Who cares what some people think I'm a hero">Though not even 15 minutes later Theo was hunched over in embarrassed shame at all of the things she did and poses she made as dumbstruck.Alright now back with a force, got tons of new fanart from friends and some comms so I shall post it all over the course of the week. Still thinking up new ideas but kind of just went for a generic concept I had in mind with this drabbling. Haven't thought of the heroine's name but had idea for a bit of a nerdy/basic heroine that was popular until dumbstruck showed up and hates her for it but mostly for "setting heroines back". So hope you all enjoyed and feel free to add on or pitch ideas for more.

>Dynamo League Halloween Special: The Fearsome Journey >Halloween had settled over Trunktown in full swing. The streets bustled with the laughter of costumed children and the glow of jack-o-lanterns flickering on every doorstep. It was the kind of night that usually drew Joe out for a drink or two, but tonight, with Willow off trick-or-treating with her classmates and Liza out of town on Sisterhood business, he had the house to himself. And he planned to enjoy it.>As the sun set, casting an orange hue across the sky, Joe settled into his worn leather chair in the living room. The air smelled faintly of pine wood and the cool breeze from outside. He had put on an old vinyl record, letting the smooth baritone of Tennessee Ernie Ford fill the house. "Sixteen Tons" echoed in the room, and Joe hummed along under his breath.>On the table in front of him sat a small block of wood—a project he’d been meaning to finish. A coyote, its ears tall and alert, slowly took shape as Joe expertly shaved off thin slivers of wood with his carving knife. His movements were calm and methodical, the scrape of the blade soothing in its repetitive rhythm. Each curve, each groove in the wood was carefully considered. The nose was sharp, the eyes just starting to take form. It wasn’t perfect yet, but Joe didn’t mind the work. He liked things that took time.>"I was born one morning, it was drizzlin' rain, fightin' and trouble are my middle name…" Joe sang along quietly, his deep voice blending with the tune. It was the kind of evening where everything felt like it was exactly in its place. Just the music, the carving, and the silence of the house around him.
>>146064437>BWMFBlack Woman Male Female?
>>146065151>But then… a noise broke that silence. It was faint at first, a rustling from outside. Joe paused, his hand stilling over the coyote’s half-formed ear. He frowned but didn’t look up from his work. Probably just the wind, he thought, or maybe kids running around outside playing pranks. He could hear their laughter from the distant streets.>He shook it off and went back to his carving, focusing on the sharp lines of the coyote’s jaw. But the noise came again, louder this time—a soft scrape, like something brushing against the side of the house, or worse, something lurking just outside the window. >Joe’s mood darkened, the peaceful calm of the evening slipping away like smoke. His grip on the knife tightened. He hated disturbances like this. Halloween or not, it was his night off, and he didn’t like the idea of someone—or something—skulking around his property.>He tried to ignore it, forcing himself to keep carving. His knife worked into the wood with sharp, controlled strokes, but his focus wavered. The noise outside became more persistent, scraping and shuffling. It was no longer a random sound. It was deliberate.>"If you see me comin', better step aside…" Joe growled, his voice low and rough as he echoed the song’s lyrics. His eyes narrowed, glaring at the block of wood as though it had wronged him.>The noise scratched at his nerves now, annoying him like a mosquito that wouldn’t leave him alone. He gritted his teeth. The carved coyote in his hands took on a more menacing look as Joe’s mood soured—its ears sharper, its eyes narrowed into slits. He ran his thumb over the smooth surface of its back, a hint of satisfaction at the work he had done, but the noise—damn it—was louder now.>With a heavy sigh, Joe set the carving down on the table. The song reached its threatening verse, and Joe, too, let the tone settle into his voice as he rose from his chair.
>>146065169>"A lot of men didn’t, a lot of men died…" He cracked his knuckles, the sound like gunfire in the room, echoing over the music. His patience had run thin, and now, whoever was out there was about to regret interrupting him.>Joe moved with purpose, his heavy boots thudding softly against the hardwood floor. The noise outside had stopped for a second, but he could still feel eyes watching him, waiting. A smirk tugged at the corner of his mouth. >"One fist of iron, the other of steel…" His voice deepened, a promise of violence on the horizon. His fists clenched, the tendons in his arms tightening as he walked to the door. "If the right one don't getcha… the left one will.">As he reached for the handle, his mind was already ahead of him. Whoever, whatever, was out there had made a grave mistake. Joe was ready to deliver the consequence.>Joe reached for the door handle, muscles tense, his face set in a scowl as he braced himself for whatever was lurking outside. The song continued to play softly in the background, underscoring the tension in the air. His fingers tightened on the knob. With a swift motion, he pulled the door open, ready for a confrontation—fists clenched, body coiled like a spring.>The porch light flickered for a second, casting long shadows across the lawn. But as Joe's eyes scanned the area, his adrenaline-fueled anticipation gave way to confusion.>There was no one there.>His brow furrowed as he stepped out onto the porch, the cool night air brushing against his skin. His eyes darted left and right, searching the street and the bushes nearby for any sign of movement. Nothing. >"Huh," Joe muttered, straightening his back. He was certain someone—or something—had been watching him. But now, the street was silent, empty but for the faint laughter of children far off in the distance. >Just as he was about to turn back inside, something caught his eye. A blur of motion above.>He looked up.
>>146065188>A small fruit bat with wild, curly black hair hung from the edge of the roof, wings folded around its tiny body. Its eyes, wide and almost comically guilty, blinked down at Joe.>Joe smirked, shaking his head as the tension drained from his shoulders. "Lester," he said with a low chuckle. "I know it’s you. Just show yourself and tell me why you’re lurking around my house, huh?">The bat hesitated for a moment, as though considering flying off, but with a soft 'whoosh,' it unfurled its wings and fluttered down to the ground. As it landed, the creature shifted and stretched, its small frame expanding and transforming into the familiar form of a teenage boy.>Lester, a vampire hunter in training—and one of Willow’s friends—now stood in front of Joe, awkwardly rubbing the back of his neck. His clothes were slightly too big for his lanky frame, and his pale face was flushed with embarrassment. He glanced up at Joe sheepishly.>"Uh… hey, Mister," Lester greeted him, voice barely above a whisper. He shifted his weight from one foot to the other, clearly nervous.>Joe sighed, folding his arms across his chest. "You know, if you wanted to stop by, you didn’t have to stalk me like some kinda creeper.">"Sorry…" Lester mumbled, still looking at the ground. He was twitchy, like he didn’t quite know what to do with his hands. "I didn’t mean to scare you. I, uh… just…">Joe’s tough exterior softened as he watched the kid fidget awkwardly. The poor guy looked like a leaf trembling in the wind. "Alright, alright," Joe said, waving a hand. "Come inside. You want some fruit salad? I made it for me and Liza, but you can have some.">Lester blinked in surprise, then gave a small nod. "Uh, yeah. Sure. Thanks."
>>146065204>Joe led him inside, the tension easing from his shoulders as he grabbed a couple of bowls from the kitchen and spooned out some fruit salad. "Sit down, kid. No need to be so nervous," Joe said as he handed Lester a bowl.>Lester perched on the edge of the chair, his eyes darting around the room nervously. His hands shook slightly as he accepted the bowl. He was usually quiet, but tonight something was off—he was even more jittery than usual.>"So," Joe started, leaning back in his chair and taking a bite of his own salad. "What’s got you sneaking around here? And why are you shaking like you’ve seen a ghost?">Lester swallowed, his eyes darting around the room as though making sure they were alone. His voice dropped to a whisper. "Is, uh, is Willow here?">Joe shook his head. "Nah, she’s out trick-or-treating with her Academy classmates and will go spend the night with her Yak-girl friend. What’s up?">At that, Lester’s face fell, his shoulders sagging with disappointment. "Oh… I was kinda hoping she’d be here." He let out a shaky breath, his pale face turning even whiter. "But, um… I need your help, Mister. I… I messed up real bad.">Joe raised an eyebrow, setting his bowl down. "Messed up how?">Lester shifted uncomfortably, his hands trembling as he finally met Joe’s gaze. "I… I took my uncle’s ring. His magic ring. He’s been gone on a Vampire hunting trip, and I was just supposed to guard his stuff while he was away, but… I don’t know, I thought maybe I could try it out—just once!">"Oh, Lester…" Joe sighed, leaning forward.
>>146065162Aw yes, Thunderbird x VFT
>>146065221>"I KNOW, I know it was stupid!" Lester’s voice cracked, and he looked like he was on the verge of panic. "But now… I lost it. I don’t know how, I just—one minute it was there, and the next it was gone! And my uncle’s gonna be back tomorrow! If I don’t find it by then… he’s gonna kill me!">Joe rubbed the back of his neck, feeling a pang of sympathy for the kid. "Alright, alright, calm down." He thought for a moment, his mind already spinning through a list of places to start searching. The last thing the kid needed was more stress.>"You’re lucky I had to wash all my suits so I don't need to technically cancel my little vacation," Joe said with a smirk as he stood up and grabbed his tracksuit from the hallway closet. "Come on, kid. Let’s go find that ring.">Joe slipped into his tracksuit, the fabric soft and comfortable, and gave Lester a reassuring nod. "We’ll track it down. Don’t worry. But you gotta tell me exactly what happened—every detail.">Lester nodded, standing quickly as they both headed for the door. His nervous energy returned as he started rambling. "It was just a small test! I didn’t mean for anything to happen, I swear! I was trying to eh—">Joe raised a hand to quiet him, smirking. "You’ll tell me on the way, alright? Let’s go find that magic ring before your uncle comes back and turns you into vampire dust.">And with that, they stepped out into the cool Halloween night, ready to hunt down the missing ring. The eerie glow of jack-o-lanterns lit their path as they set off into the shadows of Trunktown.

>Dynamo League Halloween Special: The Fearsome Journey II>The cool night air hit them as Joe and Lester ventured out into the dimly lit streets of Trunktown. Halloween decorations danced in the slight breeze, and the laughter of kids trick-or-treating filled the streets. The atmosphere was thick with festive cheer, but Joe’s mind was focused. He could see the nervous energy in Lester’s every step. >For half an hour, they combed through the streets, checking under bushes, in alleyways, and even in the trees. Every corner they turned, Lester’s nervousness seemed to intensify. The tension was palpable. Joe could tell the kid wasn’t just worried about the ring. He was scared.>They ended up in a small park, its play structures abandoned for the night. The shadows from the moon cast long and eerie figures across the grass, but Joe had always found solace in the quiet. They kept searching—overturning rocks, checking under benches—yet there was still no sign of the ring. Joe stopped for a moment, rubbing the back of his neck in frustration.>"Lester," Joe said, his voice steady but firm. "You’ve got to tell me exactly what happened. We’ve been at this for a while, and I’m starting to think we’re not looking in the right place.">Lester hesitated, his hands trembling again as he fiddled with the sleeve of his oversized coat. His pale skin glowed faintly in the moonlight. "It’s… it’s just…">"Lester," Joe repeated, this time more gently. "If we’re going to find this thing, I need to know everything. It’s not just about losing it, is it?"
>>146078314>Lester swallowed hard, his eyes darting around the park as though searching for the right words. "I—uh—" He scratched his head nervously, his hair falling messily over his eyes. "I didn’t lose it… exactly.">Joe’s eyes narrowed slightly. "Then what did happen?">Lester sighed, his shoulders slumping as he finally let the truth out. "It was stolen. By a raven.">Joe blinked, taken aback. "A raven? Like a bird?">Lester nodded quickly. "Yeah. But it wasn’t just any raven… it was grey. And there was this weird red symbol on its chest.">"A grey raven?" Joe asked, tilting his head, skepticism coloring his voice. "I’ve never heard of a grey raven. You sure you didn’t just see it wrong in the dark?">Lester shook his head adamantly, his eyes wide. "No, I’m sure. My night vision is pretty good, and I saw it clearly. It was grey, and that red symbol—it looked like… like it was painted or something. I don’t know, but it felt wrong.">Joe studied the kid’s face for a moment. Lester’s trembling wasn’t just from nerves—it was fear. Joe had seen enough to trust the kid’s instincts, even if the whole grey raven story sounded strange. "Alright," Joe said slowly, his tone calming. "So, this raven… it took the ring?">"Yeah," Lester said, his voice barely above a whisper. "I was messing with it… you know, just testing it. And out of nowhere, this grey raven swooped down and grabbed it. I… I thought maybe it would drop it somewhere, so I’ve been searching all night, but…" He trailed off, guilt heavy in his voice.>Joe ran a hand through his hair, processing the information. A raven stealing a magical ring wasn’t something he dealt with every day, but stranger things had happened in his life. "Alright, so it wasn’t an accident. Someone sent that bird to steal the ring."
>>146078331>Lester’s face paled even more, and his hands clenched into tight fists. "I screwed up… I let it get stolen! And now someone else has it. What if they use it? What if—">Joe raised a hand, cutting him off. "Hey, we’ll get it back. Don’t go spiraling. We just need to figure out who’s behind this.">"But how?" Lester asked, his voice cracking with panic. "I don’t know anything about magic tracking! My uncle’s the expert, not me.">Joe thought for a moment, his mind going over the various people he’d met in his time as Marmot-man. Magic wasn’t his forte either. But Lester was part of that world—he had to know someone. "You know anyone who can help us track this ring down?">Lester stayed silent, biting his lip in thought. The tension hung between them like a thick fog, the quiet park only amplifying the weight of the situation.>Finally, Lester looked up, his voice hesitant. "I… I might know someone. But it’s not… it’s not exactly someone I want to meet in the middle of the night.">Joe’s eyebrow raised. "What, you scared of a few tricks on Halloween?">Lester shook his head, anxiety gripping him. "No, it’s just… this person… they’re not exactly the ‘friendly neighborhood witch’ type, if you know what I mean.">Joe’s smirk returned. "Well, if we’re talking about witches, sounds like my kinda night. Lead the way, kid. I’m ready."
>>146078349>Lester hesitated, but when he saw the determination in Joe’s eyes, he knew there was no turning back. "Alright… but we’ll have to go to the woods. There’s a place… a hidden place. That’s where we’ll find her.">"Her?" Joe asked, intrigued.>Lester nodded thoughtfully. "She’s a vampire lady with strong ties in the magical community; she could really assist us...">Joe shrugged, already pulling his jacket closer against the chill. "Sounds fun. Let’s go.">The two of them headed towards the edge of town, where the warm glow of streetlamps faded into the encroaching darkness of the forest. As they walked, the lively sounds of Halloween gradually fell silent, replaced by the unsettling stillness of the woods ahead. Joe sensed the shift in the air—a prickling sensation at the back of his neck that warned him they were entering a realm where the usual rules no longer applied.

>>146082335>I thought it was just some schizo role-playing thing from an adjacent tournament/death battle thread or something. That seems to be fairly apt. My understanding is a Death Battle anon developed a persona for shitposting in those threads, essentially being a MLAATR Jenny waifufag who mantled demiurgic power through Grant Morrison style hypersigils, turned himself into a robot called XL9, and rules his world with an iron fist that "transcends fiction" for the honor of his waifu. However, he seems to be bad at rhetoric, so his nemeses are those who can make fun of him in ways he can't refute. It's odd, a very Death Battle brand of humor. But, to my mind, similar to Doomzula, /co/nata, etc, in terms of board culture additions.>>146082437God, holiday lanterns was such a golden time. Lanterns being mainstream was a golden time. >>146082503I'll leave it be then. I don't know enough about that to mess with it and there are worse pages on the wiki, probably.Holiday Lanterns, I wish I had time to be in those threads. If I can catch the Halloween thread I'll story time the GLTAS Halloween comic in it again as is tradition.Has there even been a Night of the Were-Ed thread yet this month?
>>146082572>Has there even been a Night of the Were-Ed thread yet this month?Christ, no I don't think there has. Dark times on /co/ve if there's no undead chicken sex.
>>146082572>I don't know enough about that to mess with it and there are worse pages on the wiki, probablyAfter skimming through the page lightly, I genuinely doubt it. >>146083492To do so would mean needing to understand what this is even about. Do we know the history of this? Is it notable? Is it a meme? since i won't continue the Halloween special next week.this time I have a question for you, do the /coc/ characters have birthdays?I have this idea to give Dynamo League members birthdays that carry double meanings behind them.>Marmot-man: April 22 (symbolically balanced 10/10)>She-Beaver: April 7 (Beaver Day)>Wonder-Coyote: March 21 (the spring equinox)
>>146091651A lot of the times the character's creation date becomes their birthday.
>>146091651Newman is adopted. He shares his bday with the human version of /int/ (Intura?), Simon, and Elliot. His real bday is April 8.
>>146092116The thing is that Dynamo League was created/pitched as a cohesive team rather than as individual characters, which means that August 27th is officially recognized as the team's creation date in the canon.but thanks.
>>146092331He also liked toy trains as a kid, then somehow got interested in nature and wildlife so that could be why he keeps unconsciously adopting stray animals. There's a slight historical overlap with his board tan counterpart.

>>146100783It's not that any are bad they just appealto seperate audiences and I belong to the latter than the former so the story didn't appeal to me to make content for it
>>146096059Shame you got rid of the original logo.
>>146100881Nah it's a scrapped concept, just used it for this bad end au world as a jokey thing. Idk if I want to use their other more final logo idea or keep the classic.
>>146100864Respectable, really would love to learn more about them but not everything connects with everyone. Sad when something has a lot of art but is mostly scrapped
>>146099713I briefly fixated on creating weapons/transformation devices for them but couldn't get any traction so I ultimately left them alone.>>146100676Samefag has a degree? In fucking what?
>>146102221>Samefag has a degree? In fucking what?I'd assume in anything that will keep the argument going
>>146102221In science
Alright, since the thread seems like it's dragging its feet into yet another saturday, I'm gonna ask something: As some of you may know, the origins of Crackdown's powers have been left rather… vague, to say the least. In part it's by design for mystery sake's to get the people's imagination going (and because I like to leave some wriggle space when it comes to the stuff I haven't fully decided on), but hypothetically, how much would *you* like for the specifics of that to be elaborated on?Would depicting Arthur's "radioactive spider bite" moment be worthwhile even without fully explaining what exactly happened cause incomprehensible eldritch shit and such?
>>146103236Would it add anything to his story or character development? His powers could come from blood cult magic that his dad did to awaken ancient demons to fulfill promises made to distant ancestors.Or they could just be from wherever else random superpowers come from. You know "punches from the punch dimension"? Is there a catch-all superpowers dimension where all this extra energy comes from or goes?
>>146103236I feel you're going to need to address it at least minimally at some point, if you intend to ever delve into Playwright's shit.
>>146103570>>146103631I see.But yeah, the thing I can say about that incident is that it wasn't as prearranged as you're probably imagine it being, at least not on August's behalf. He really did try at some point, believe it or not.
>>146101068Maybe it could be kept on the cape? I don't know I just like the logo but if you don't want to it's fine.>>146101544
>>146105037Sorry ignore >>146101544 # I didn't mean to respond to it.
>>146105037Also wait which logo are you talking about???
Which do (You) prefer?
>>146107018Dis one.
>>146105936I'm a fan of bloomers, though I'd pick a diff color for the legs. Maybe green so it sticks out front eh coattails?
>>146105936This one is more regal and probably a better fit if the pic is of her as a queen.
