We’ll be starting with the 1972 Annual today. The majority of the Annual is made of up stories from issues #1 to #9, the only original one being a retelling of Vampirella’s origin. I will not post reprints but I will list their names and the issues they were originally published in. I will do this any time a story is reprinted for future threads. Use the thread archive if you want to read the reprints. If you disagree with this please tell me this thread. I don’t want to change how I’m storytiming when we’re already multiple threads past this one. Thank you.Reprints in the 1972 Annual :>Vampi's Feary Tales [Tom Sutton] (from Vampirella #2)>Curse Of Circe" [Jerry Grandenetti/Gardner Fox] (from Vampirella #6)>Goddess From The Sea [Neal Adams/Don Glut] (from Vampirella #1)>The Curse [Wally Wood] (from Vampirella #9)>Snake Eyes [Jack Sparling/Nicola Cuti] (from Vampirella #8)>Vampi's Feary Tales: Love! bumping just because
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Selecciones_IlustradasSelecciones Ilustradas is probably most well-known in America due to its connections with Warren Publishing, where S.I.'s artists drew hundreds of stories between 1971 through 1983. The deal with Warren and S.I. began in 1971 when Toutain met with Warren publisher Jim Warren. S.I.'s artists began appearing in Warren magazines starting in Vampirella #11 in May 1971.[2] By 1973 S.I. artists provided the majority of the covers and interior stories in Warren's magazines, a dominance that continued until the late 1970s. S.I. artists also contributed to Warren rival Skywald throughout the early to mid-1970s. The professionals start from the anecdotes shared by Giménez himself and his colleagues from the Selections Ilustradas agency during the sixties, such as José María Beá, Luis García and Pepe González.

Did the writers completely forget about Evily and Vampirella's twin sister?
>>146107169Another waifu.
>>146107177I don't really like this attempt to make Dracula sympathetic. He works best as a remorseless villain.
>>146147613I looked up Evily a few days ago and she doesn't show up in wikis or tvtropes.
>>146107883See you soon.
If I don't have sex with a fat Vampirella cosplayer this Halloween I will burn all my shitty Vampirella 90s pin up comics.
>>146150855Why sex?
>>146147613Pretty much, they both never appear again in the magazine. I don't think either show up in the Harris comics at all. It took until Dynamite took over for them to get brought back. Vampirella was originally a light hearted character in her first couple issues before she started getting written seriously. Writers probably couldn't find a way to incorporate Draculina or Evily into the story or thought they didn't make sense or fit the tone they wanted.
