Hilda almost touches on something Moomin Valley also touched upon and that is atmosphere in low-budget TV Shows.Hilda never quite manages to keep it for more than 7 minutes, but similar to Courage the Cowardly Dog Hilda manages to evoke that whimsical atmosphere through a cold lonely version similar to The Snowman.

S3's action was better.S1's best episodes are the first 2 episodes and the ghost dog one. It has the best atmosphere.S1's episode still retain some atmosphere a lot more than S2. S1 feels unique in the first 10-14 minutes of the episode till they have to get the plot going and finish it and then it's just another generic problem of the week adventure show.
