In the oil and water scene, she basically ditches Caitlyn to go do her revenge thing. So, if you ask me, I think that Vi by herself becomes self-destructive and Caitlyn by herself hits rock bottom (becomes Caitler and sleeps with ugly chicks). When they're together and on good terms, they ground each other so at the end of the day, yes, I think they're good together.
I can't imagine caring more about whether or not Vi will fuck a cop more than being worried about how they might completely ruined both Vi and Jinx as characters this season. And the ship shit is to blame. None of Vi's motivations make sense without forced shipshit.
