I do like the idea of that AU where peridot, jasper, and lapis are the crystal gems instead. But how would that work? How would the rebellion work? Maybe pink diamond rebelled against her family and kept her diamond form until Greg showed up.Then again, you have peridot, so it could be possible that peri can study the human body to create some sort of device/item that can allow the gems to give birth. She has thousands of years to study and experiment before Steven is born.
