Now Peter's gotta survive an entire Freshman year as a newbie crime-fighting vigilante... and if you think you know how this story goes, you are in for a surprise!
Holy moley, this is lazy.
When Spider-Bussy was in its prime.
>>146720242That's the end, btw.
>>146720176>Uncle Ben dying before Peter get his powersCompletely fucking up the entire origin and why Peter became Spider-Man in the first place. Why change what isn't broken?
>>146720311>make something new>but keep everything exactly he samewhoa, so creative, when's your comic coming out?
>>146720311This is the MCU origin, anon.
>>146720319You call this shit creative?
>>146720352This isn't the MCU.
>>146720373No one said it was. In the MCU Ben is dead before Peter becomes Spider-Man.
>>146720380Source? This never once stated in the films.
>>146720373What? Yes, it is. It's in the multiverse
>>1467202262024Johnny Cash threme villian.
>>146720366That's not what I said you idiotWhat this is, is something new. A new take on an old story, in a new worldNo ones "fixing" whats "broken", it's just an alternative
>>146720418It's a shitty new take / alternative you faggot.
>>146720319What purpose does this change serve other than being different for the sake of being different? If they're truly bored of Spider-Man's origin, maybe they shouldn't even be doing yet another Spider-Man comic, make something new.
>>146720265Good now burn this shit in the fireplace.
>>146720183If they're tieing in to their show and leaving stuff out of the comic so they can plug Disney+, that's it for me.
>>146720480>What purpose does this change serve other than being different for the sake of being different?I guess we'll have to wait and see, seeing as how this is issue #1>If they're truly bored of Spider-Man's origin, maybe they shouldn't even be doing yet another Spider-Man comicI wonder if you said the same thing about the two ultimate spider-men, and all the spider-man films so far?>>146720446>hurr it's badcool, thanks for playing
>>146720544>hurr new thing gud!Fuck off. It's easy to be a condescending cunt and dismiss what I say, but anyone can see the cowardly loser that hides behind your words and bravado.
>>146720146Freaking Nico Minoru. Couldn't they use Glory Grant for their diversity points? At least, Glory won't become a black magic with in some point. Or maybe Dazzler.
>>146720596>hurr new thing gud!Who are you quoting? can you link the post where I said this was good?>Fuck off. It's easy to be a condescending cunt and dismiss what I sayYes, it is real easy to dismiss empty posts that say nothingThe only thing you said of value was your issue with the origin change, then implied that they were trying to "fix" it which is a huge assumption to makeI mocked you (wdytwa?) and said that this isn't the same story/world that was created 70+ years ago so of course it would be different. That shouldn't even need to be said, because this is something we've known about the show/comic for years - were the osborns being black and nico minrou being part of his supporting cast not a clear enough indicator of that? Being mad about things being different in a new telling of a story is a waste of your time. You should actually wait and see how those differences affect the characters and the world going foreword. From this issue, it seems to me that this is a Peter that won't be engaging in superheroics because he's traumatized and guilty about getting his father figure killed, but because he's already concerned about the criminal element in his city disrupting his community. I'm willing to see where this goes, especially since I'm not paying for these comics>but anyone can see the cowardly loser that hides behind your words and bravado.uh huh
>>146720146Done reading. Definitely not great and if it's any indication to the show, we're cooked.Anyway, willing to bet Nico's foster parents are 2 lesbians. Lol.
>>146720695On the bright side it's not J*ssica J*nes. The comic is shit, but I'll take what I can get.
So, no new comics today?
>>146720853Fair enough. At least, it isn't Gwen, MJ or Felicia.
>>146720544>I guess we'll have to wait and see, seeing as how this is issue #1Marvel expects people to pay $5 for this issue. I'm sorry, but this was not a $5-quality book. Another derivative inferior Spider-Man story with a few chairs rearranged to make it feel different.>I wonder if you said the same thing about the two ultimate spider-men, and all the spider-man films so far? Those are all exciting enough to be worth the money.
>Nico is with a Foster FamilySo the Minorus are dead? The Gibbos ain't gonna like that one.
>>146720784>Yes, it is real easy to dismiss empty posts that say nothingI said all that needed to be said. It's not my problem that you're too much of a little faggot to appreciate when someone is being direct. I don't need to overcompensate with a million words like you do.>uh huhGlad I hit a nerve.
>>146720904Piss off and take your shitty comic and crap animated spider-man show with you gage.
>>146721373>Glad I hit a nerve. You did more then strike a nerve fuck off unless you want a bump on the head.
>>146720226Huh. That’s one way to “modernize” Silvermane, I guess.
>>146720352>>146720373This is MCU. An alternate timeline of its 616 universe with many-many differences.
>>146720319>Use established IP>I'M TOTALLY MAKING SOMETHING ORIGINAL!
>>146720202Real bullets? In a toon verse for kids?
>>146720146A prequel? There's no way they actually expect people to read a comic before hand I'd think. If anything important happens here it would have to be covered in the show eventually wouldn't it?
>>146720159There just already is a big hole in the school before anything happens?
>>146720161>Fifty dollar copayAlright, that's kind of funny.
this comic was painfully average, at least I rather spend the 10 min than wasting half an hour trying to figure if I would like the new series or notseems that Marvel really has a thing against Spider-Man maturing, just keeping the brand in a set status. But I wonder why the fuck do we have all these spider people running around if they are all going to be samey. I thought Miles was supposed to fill the highschool vibe they crearly are going for. Loki was right on the money that the powers that be are so cautious to preserve the "sacred timeline," perfect metaphor for Marvel thinking things have to be kept frozen in time with no actual progression
>>146722094This is a tie-in comic for a high school aged Peter Parker cartoon
>>146720183So a prequel that requires you to watch the episode it's a prequel to?
>>146720904What do you think this thread is?
From cbr Amazing Spider-Man #63"Ireland fleshing Shay out a bit more, she and Peter enjoying a nice picnic together talking about Shay's experiences at Ravencroft and she tells a story about nearly quitting (or rather, did, but changed her mind)Ireland has some...struggles I would say writing Felicia, she comes across as joyless and a bit robotic, so much so that the conversation's climatic punch line, while fun, doesn't have anything to build off of.Some smarts from Spider-Man, which is the best takeaway, using time paradoxes to knock out the Demon. There are some cameos from moments of Peter's past, including Kraven's Last Hunt, Sin Eater, and a glimpse into the future with the return of the Last Man Standing outfit, wish I recognised who Peter was holding (male it seems)"Right that's that anons now this shit no longer needs to be ripped you all have a nice day now
>>146720695If the reason that she isn't being a runaway is that a West Coast Avengers foiled the Pride and their membership included a Spider-Woman who is active years before Peter, it would be funny.
>>146720161At least Aunt May is kind of hot>>146720172>O’HaraWonder if this is intentional.Anyway, the homemade suit design is kind of growing on me, but if this is the humor / dialogue style the show has it’s going to be painfully boring to watch.
>>146723781you don't have to keep the thread alive lol
>>146723781>Wonder if this is intentional
>>146723885Yes they want the show to fail before it even makes it's debut om stream and this books is their way of burying it R.I.P.
>>146720159Really lazy.
>>146723522IIRC Marvel Adventures universe had a Jessica Drew who was active as Spider-Woman years before Peter
Middling as usual from Gage. Anyway, is Nico porn here yet?
>>146720311Peter being an angry nerd that needed his uncle dying to fill him with guilt and anxiety for the rest of his life is something we can do without this one time.
>>146724978No one's going to remember this slop in ten years and replacing an iconic origin with a boring one will be one of the reasons why.
>>146722159nothing I said doesn't mean otherwise anonI'm being very clear that in whichever way Marvel wants to do a new take on Spider-Man, they constantly regress to the same old schtick rather than do something new for the character, like actually growing up
>>146720146Peter & Nico should just date. This is quite an interesting take & there needs to be some art of the two
>>146725024Guarantee you'll still be whining about it in 10 years
>>146725398No one will remember this in 10 years.
>>146725092No kid is going to watch a cartoon about a middle aged Spider-Man.
>>146726080objectively false but keep at it
>>146722668I guess the show was meant to come out this month.
>>146726405Until you can predict the future, shut the fuck up and sit down.
>>146727162ditto
>>146727162I'm from the future and I remember it
>>146720695Or just Cindy.
What is going on with Spider-Man's issue lately. Last week, "Miles Morales" issue didn't come out, and now we are missing ASM #63. Can anybody please storytime those?
>>146720159I know truncated the origins is a thing nowadays but shit.
why is he wearing a skirt, is he gonna troon out?
>>146730460Kys
>>146720165yaaaay spider sense.
