Shadow Weaver killing Norwyn, the head sorcerer at the time led to some consecuences in Mystacor's leadership until Micah came of age and took on the role and later on Castaspella. Stabilizing things.I think it's more about Catillus having some strong feelings for Mortella and never trully getting over her. So realizing Kyle has her blessing changed his plans. He's not a fully black and white issue, but Catillus is a bit of a shady personality himself. He's a cat, after all.Kyle also wants to face his father one last time. Catillus is his ticket to get to him.
Posting my concept of Catillus.For a long time I was planning for him to be human like his 80's counterpart. A somewhat cranky but skilled old sorcerer. However, after watching the Coraline remaster in cinemas duiring early Fall I thought of the idea of him as an old cat and given that his name has the word cat in it. I turned him into an elderly magicat.

I was able to get my first job by practicing life drawing and then stylizing it.-personal one: Unironically what worked the best for me is to avoid perfectionist pitfalls and put your work out there. I applied it to Kyle Saga by keeping things simple, scribbly, and not being afraid of wonky-ness. Otherwise I was always aiming for perfect sketches and it was always keeping me insecure. It's more important for your drawing to communicate an action than look technically great. At least for storytelling.

Sproc tells Kyle the majority of the angels left to some unknown destination after having biuilt a functional kingdom. Angela and the Star Sisters are descended from the ones who stayed behind. The fate of her people wether they were wiped by Prime or live in a dimension beyond reach is most likely going to be left to the reader.These angels were benevolent and like guardians angels in that they'd look out and protect Etheria from evil, but Hunga's prideful father, one of the most powerful, had more imperialistic plans
