>>146757692Well, I can’t say for certain as I haven’t been keeping up with big city greens, but from what I remember Gloria’s arc kind of resolved itself with her getting to run her own cafe. Now maybe they were clever and gave her something else to do, if not she’d be a rather boring character to work with. A major part of her appeal was being a failure dreamer wagie, like Larry from Gumball or Squidward from SpongeBob.

>>146757822I don't know how independent or in control she is when living for free in someone's basement.
She's designed to be both cute and achievable. Like you can imagine a woman like her might be willing to marry you even though you don't have a great place to live or make a lot of money.
Writing a Gloria fic, it's about her in smalton.Honestly why do they keep holding back with her in country? Is it because they think it be to mean sprinted?
>>146757692She's not Remy or Tilly so she's far from the worst.
>>146758953Shit taste detected.
Because it's apparently Opposite and or Bizarro Day in whatever 3rd world toilet you live in, OP.All jokes aside, everyone in the show is just in a good place at the moment, so it's pretty much just fun gags until something comes and shakes things up. It would be nice if Gloria actually interacted with the Greens more, but a big part of what makes Gloria entertaining and endearing is how she struggles to make it through life. Thus last episode was really transparent about it, but it certainly didn't ruin the joke.>>146757889https://desuarchive.org/co/thread/146669194

Frankly I'm surprised the show is still going, I honestly thought it ended years back.
>>146759920The series in general is in an odd place now that the Greens are fine financially and have homes both in the country and the city. There really isn't any conflict inherit to things since they're already adjusted to both settings so it's a lot of random jokes and setups to play with. Some of which feel like they probably should have been season one episodes. Not sure what they could do anymore to shake things up. Even Gloria already more or less achieved her goal, save for visiting Paris, so no one really has anything left to do but to spin their wheels. Which isn't really doing some of these characters any good.
>>146760033There's still Chip but fair.Honestly I like BCG but the effects its had on the channel has been mostly negative, all shows now have to be SOL and comedy, never allowing for anything big anymore.
>>146757692Is it one of those things where people naturally related to a character and her experiences early on, and the crew caught wind of it and decided to make her "#relatable" in a way that feels so on the nose that it turns off everyone in the process?
>>146760269True. There's still Chip and Cricket is enough of a rascal that he can usually start a story just on his own usual chaotic merit so there's still options out there. The show's been running long enough that it's naturally going to start to drag trying to come up with new things to do and some characters suffer from that. Your second point though is very very apt. It's not exactly great seeing what it's doing. The variety of the network isn't great. There's still some shows like Kiff who can impress, but as Big City Greens is the network's Sponge so it makes sense it's doing similar damage. We've seen what having a Sponge can do to a network and I hope it doesn't do as much damage to Disney Channel's shows as that did to Nick's.
>>146760428A little, I di like her but the best moments are her relationships with the Green those are still there.
>>146760428Weirdly enough, I think Tater from Primos is what you decide to make Gloria younger and the main character if a show.
>>146758953Tilly is still the best.

>>146760269>>146760449I kinda get it; I see the same thing with ‘The Loud House’.
>>146757692Why does she have such a small ass?
>>146763595Does she need those ass prosthetics?
>>146763595She's asian. She's doing her best.
>>146757994she is quite a lot
>>146757692Her entire function in the show is over. She was just supposed to be another townie that the Greenes annoyed a lot. Her being the miserable wagie in a part time job. Then the show ended that. They tried expanding her spot to the awkward member of the family but that didn't pan out either so they mostly wrote her off.
>>146760428Probably, and she was meant to be a one note background character. But expanding her into an actual character made her a lot less funny.
>>146758151They basically don't exist IRL, like the quiet librarian type who doesn't know she's attractive
>>146766167Why?
>>146758151she is cute and achievable but I'm almost certain her standards would be way higher than they should be so the amount of actual dates she'd go on is pretty low. maybe a few hookups that would force her to clean up her room and result in a free dinner but that's about it.
>>146770214They were probably the best duo the show had.
bump
>>146768485I’m still waiting for an answer.
>>146771688Well she works better as a side character, not someone who can drive a story, it's hard to justify why a twenty-something is hanging around with this family, sure her moving in makes sense, but she can't be a part of every episode so that makes you wonder what she's doing?
>>146757692 >>146766152I still find her few appearances entertaining, but it does feel as though there's nowhere to really go now. Makes me wonder what a Fifth season of Big City Greens is even good for..
>>146772433God I miss this Gloria.
>>146772433I want more girlfailure comics of Gloria
>>146766152>>146766167I see her only actual function was to be the foil to Cricket's damaging shenanigans. She was just the part time employee that got mad when Cricket messed up the coffee shop. It's funny when we only get a small glimpse of the character as that mad person behind the counter. But actually diving deeper into her life and seeing the more than surface level jokes as a sad pathetic depressed person failing in life just ruins the joke. Instead of being funny now she makes the viewer feel bad.
>>146773540She is a cartoon version of the waitress from It's Always Sunny. Funny at first when she was just a struggling 20 something working a dead end job. and you only see her once or twice a season to roll her eyes at Charlie annoying her.But a decade and a half later she is fucking depressing as a struggling friendless 40 something with alcoholism problems, loads of drug addiction, and still barely making it in minimum wage jobs. Her whole character is worlds different because of this.
>>146773592I mean always sunny is kind of a cynical show.
