I got to meet Lincoln Peirce for a minute when I was like 13 and he gave a talk at my local bookstore, I remember him being nice. Also I always thought it was funny the way he chose to draw black people with the hashing art style, for a while as a kid I did NOT understand why there happened to be striped people in the Big Nate universe

This thread kinda reiterated what made big nate kinda special to me, it was one of the comics where the kids felt like actual kids, and where you could kinda understand where everyone came from.
