A common complaint about UAF and onwards is that they changed Gwen's magic from blue to pink, and had her powers manifest more as constructs than actual spells. And I must agree. The former is inexplicable outside of "hurr hurr girl therefore pink", and the latter reeks of either penny pinching or shocking lack of creativity.

Meanwhile, I have a dumb concept for an unwritten fanfic that has a self-insert OC getting isekai'd to the first episode of Ben 10 and getting the Omnitrix before Ben does and tagging along with them on their roadtrip, trying to not change too much because he knows how things can snowball/domino out of control in stories like this, and at the end of the original series, removes the Omnitrix and lets Ben have it for the later shows after finding a way to implant his memories of the original show in it so he wouldn't exactly be totally inexperienced.And my OC totally has the hots for Charmcaster and is trying to give her the redemption arc she deserved over the course of the rest of the story when he has the chance.
