The Superman trailer had more views than The Batman, Joker, Aquaman, and The Dark KnightIs it possible people are understanding this movie financially?
>>146837515Hopebros, we are winning.
Suuuupeermaaan
>>146837515SUPERMAN! SUPERMAN! SUPERMAN! SUPERMAN!
>>146837515I want to believe
>>146837515>implying those views aren't just bots
>>146837515Unless you mean twitter views (bots), the actual jewtube trailer only has 25m - much LESS than Joker’s 102 million views. This post is a lie
>>146837658Over the same time span. Obviously a five year old trailer has more.
>>146837694The superman youtube trailer doesn’t have 250 million views, is my point. I doubt it got more in the same time span either, but twitterman is clearly talking about twitter “views”
>>146837515DON'T CARENot watching the trailer, sure as hell not watching the movie.
>>146837515>Hopium: the movie>it being successful It is almost like depression is a mental illness
>>146837515>250m views on social media>Transformers Rise of the Beast had 238m viewsEhhh this is not that exciting. The last Transformers movie only did 440m in box office.
>>146837658It isn't bots. "View" simply means someone looked at a post for a few seconds.
>>146837515I need to see him rescue the kid with the flag
pajeetbros... it wasn't supposed to be this way...
>>146839029gunnjeets are the ones inflating the viewcounts with bots, sorry gunnjeet bro
>>146837515You mean underestimating? Quite possibly. If it gets good reviews and is actually good it will do well. I don't usually put stock into Rotten Tomatoes but thews of a Superman movie having a fresh score would make people notice since it's been three films in a row where he hasn't.
>>146837658>much LESS than Joker’s 102 million viewYou're comparing a day to years
>>146839733>GunnjeetsIt's not a thing. It's sad how desperate you are to force it
>>146839733>gunnjeetsthis Synder vs Gunn shit is really going to make it annoying to discuss this movie and franchise isn't it?
>>146837658>the actual jewtube trailer only has 25mWell that's still more in a day and what Brave New World got in 5 months
>>146837515It's Superman. You literally cannot get a more recognizable propertyIf the movie is good it will be a success. Even if it's merely mediocre or even bad it will probably still be a moderate success (like MoS and BvS showed respectively)
that's some real big bullshit
>>146840246Superman has only ever had one flat out bomb with IV. Superman Returns did bomb but it just about doubled it's budget so it doesn't deserve it's status as some huge flop
>>146839804There are no Gunn fans or Snyder fans. There's only Superman fans and filthy pajeets.
>>146840339Oh they all say stuff like this it's part of the marketing at this point. The trailer has been doing well on YouTube though. It's blown past Captain America and Thunderbolts
>>146837515The Last Great Awakening is upon us.
>>146840371That’s like cheering because you ran faster than a guy with one leg.
>>146840405It did it in a day to be fair and remember when the MCU was the biggest shit around?
>>146839762>since it's been three films in a row where he hasn't.ZSJL had a fresh score. But most people don't even know RottenTomatoes exist.
>>146840365>There's only Superman fans and nostalgiafagsFixed.
>>146840492Apart from using the theme I don't think Gunn's Superman is like Donners at all
>>146840343Returns made more than Batman Begins, but it also had a bigger budget, so that's what bit it in the ass
>>146840510The re-use of the theme is cynical and gives the impression Gunn is too scared to create a new theme for a new Superman.
>>146840542And it wasn't even all that films budget. They included the cost of Superman fly by and Superman lives. I don't know why WB shot themselves in the foot like that
>>146837632This, I just don't believe internet metrics anymore.
>>146840672We're all shadows and dust, anon. SHADOWS AND DUST!
>>146840704They tried that, nobody wants their trash IPs. They couldn't give them away.
>>146837515lmao and I didn't watch it because I hate spoilers.
>>146840723>Zorro and Tarzan are not popularwhat?
>>146837515Kind of tricky to used those as metrics. >TDKSocial media worked very different a decade ago>Joker Superman attracts a wider audience.>The BatmanReboot of a beloved trilogy and had a somber toneClosest thing is Aquaman, and while it blew up once it came out, the trailer didn't get much tracking as it came after Joshtice League.I liked the trailer but these numbers don't mean much these days like this stallion points out >>146838835, moreover with capeshit in decline so let's not get cocky, I don't want another "BvS opening day electric boogaloo 2.0 this time is personal".
>>146840723Do you realise how fucking stupid your post was? You have no grasp of time at all. Zorro had a film in 98 that was popular and that was 80 years after he was created. You're comparing it to Sonic, a character that's only been around for 33 years.
The arguements about recognisability are pretty moot since Superman media never went away and it's succeeds more than it fails
>Suicide Squad got some of the highest views for an r-rated capeshit movie trailer ever.>Blue Beetle, WW84 and Black Adam Trailers got massive amounts of views.>The latter were still complete flops and the former got beaten at the box office by fucking Morbius>”Nooo bros, Superman’s gonna save DC this time!”
>>146837632So why does only this movie trailer has bots and not the others?
There's an extent to which you have to give the people what they want. With a character like Superman, that's basically a necessity. When Marvel did Iron Man in 2008 Iron Man was basically a D-Lister in terms of superhero stardom so they could be a bit bold and innovative, like letting RDJ ad lib most of his lines. But EVERYBODY knows Superman. And everybody knows things ABOUT Superman. Everybody knows Krypton. Everybody knows Ma and Pa Kent. Everybody knows the Daily Planet. Everybody knows Lois, and most people know Jimmy, and a lot of people even know Perry. Everybody knows Truth, Justice, and the American Way.There's an extent to which you've just got to lean into that. Man of Steel tried to do something out there and I think that's one of the reasons people turned on it. It also just wasn't very good. With Superman, because people know him so well, you've got to give the people what they want, and give it to them well. This trailer makes it look like we MIGHT get that, finally, for the first time since Superman 2 way back in 1980. So people are hyped.
>>146842633The bots are on every trailer and the humans who saw this only knew about it from the perp walk memes
>>146842679>The bots are on every trailerso saying "the higher number of views don't matter because they are bots" is meaningless, as every trailers views are just botsmeaning the difference is still made by humans
>reddit: the movie
>>146842689bot population grows much faster than humans so the effect of the difference inverts over time, try using your wet brain
>SpiderCHAD is still unbeatableHow does he do it? How did he become the most profitable and popular superhero?
