In case you missed the new issue: https://www.teamfortress.com/tf07_thedayshavewornaway/To think that the Adminstrator's design started out as a fan portrait that Valve bought. In-lore, she became the ultimate hater
Lemme check if I can find the flashback Helen pages from the old comics
Man, what a story...
Looking back, it must have been shocking for Pauling since this dream was what she thought what the Administrator wanted.
>>146841143
>All this so she could rant a few more hours to Zebediah
>>146841167
>>146841176
>>146841204Also, Engie's the only one in Blu for the whole comic, no?
>>146841214
>>146841222
>>146841214They used Blue Engie for the Loose Canon comic so he's Blue for narrative consistancy.

>>146841417Forgot the picture like a dumbass
I was so pleasantly shocked at the reveal.
>>146841222You can tell right here that the story of #7 is a massive retcon, but eh, after 7 years I'm just satisfied we get an ending. Would be interesting to see what the original plan was, probably the Abe Lincoln leak from ages ago.
>>146841091Did anyone else think Ms. Pauling was the Administrator's daughter/clone?
>>146841611Obvious that this was not the original intention but eh what we got can still work with that page.
>>146841611Hard to tell. I vaguely remember the original "leak" having something to do with Abraham Lincoln. I wonder if someone has a cap of it.
>>146841619A lot of fanlore (trying to overexplain the respawn and the merc lookalikes) pointed to it but it didn't have a lot backing the theory
>>146841091Is this gonna be your FOTW /co/?
>>146841611Was the original merc pic with Abe Lincoln actually supposed to be a story leak? I thought it was just just a funny little goof that you could kinda' slot into the story otherwise that wouldn't have much to do with things otherwise. Like you could replace Tom Jones with any other sexy crooner from the era and it wouldn't change anything.
Absolutely boss of her
>>146841091Did anyone else notice that Administrator's probably dad is fucking John Wilkes Booth?
>>146841684Reaction pic for you guys
>>146841686Fuck, I didn't notice that. >Booth was later killed in a shootout between himself, Bilious Hale and a large group of people, during which Hale sat on his chest as others took turns shooting him; Hale was subsequently awarded Booth's hat tower for his bravery. - wiki
>Saxton Hale accidentally continued the gravel wars when he retiredlel
>>146841726If they completely replace the Announcer with Pauling (which I know they won't for obvious reasons), then it really would just make the whole story come full circle. The fight continues in the exact same way just now with Pauling at the helm of the merc company and the mercs just getting to have fun while being a family.
>>146841705That actually makes it pretty brutal, maybe Zepheniah or sent Barnabus's son off to kill him, Billious based on photos and artwork seems a lot more grim than his father or his son. Or idk, timeline is kind of weird on this one.
>>146841748I can see any future game using the comic characters as the least bit of fanservice. Zhanna and Pauling would be just as good as hearing Scout and the Heavy sisters cheer the new generation on. But we won't have that. We have Deadlock instead.
>>146841695Geez, even at like 40 she looks so fine
>>146841767I still don't like anyone making a deadlock v tf2 thing, both games appeals to completely different types of people, pitting them against each other because of the developers not managing themselves well is a disservice.
>>146841767I'd prefer they use those 1800s Gravel Wars characters we saw from the catch up comic
>>146841767I'm fine with that. Through its ups and downs, TF2 gave more than any game really had any right to give. It got an ending and deserves to rest.
>>146841705Damn wish they mentioned the original Team Fortress. Abe's already a wild one considering TF lore ( both the pyro and the inventor of the rocket jump )
>>146841777It's hard not to sometimes. People who don't like Deadlock will point at it as Valve's source of distractions when they could be working on insert legacy title here. It hasn't had a chance to prove itself and it stands in-between Marvel Rivals and fatigue of hero shooters and mobas in general. Personally, I'm surprised we didn't have a Valve BR title outside of Counter Strike GO's shortlived mini mode.
>>146841774Lots of 40 ladies look fine. A lot of them tend to let themselves go like army dudes becoming dads. >this is a sixty year old, single
Neither Saxton nor Gray Mann taught Olivia much about sex education...Or how to avoid getting blackmailed...
>>146841222>>146841611no it all still fits into the story. She wasn't talking about australium, she was talking about revenge
What I'd give for a classic HD revival of the grenadefest that was TFC
>>146841222>I even thought I was done onceoh. ohhh
>>146841843Suddenly it all makes sense
>>146841222fuck, I just noticed her child self was crying
>>146841816Valve is usually pretty good about only doing something if they think they have a good idea for it and chasing a trend for the sake of it *cough artifact/underlords* has only backfired on them. Deadlock seems to be popular for now, but give it a little bit of time and we'll see how long that lasts and if they just go back into hibernation.
>>146841785Some of them show up in the flashback, TF1800 Heavy is carrying a cart i think
>>146841204So weird thinking a lot of the Administrator pages, it's so serious. It's like something that doesn't belong in Team Fortress. God I love the colors in all of them.
>>146841449I realize that the specifics are different but big bald dude with a broad chin = heavy. IDK why they designed this dude like this, this could easily have been heavy in a slightly different style than we're used to.
Who would have thought that of all of Valve's IPs, TF2 was the one to get a finale? Portal 2 too if we're talking Chell. Meanwhile, Left 4 Dead 2's still stuck with a bittersweet cliffhanger like Half-Life.
>>146841857The game is losing players, but it is also in a highly volatile alpha state as well that is changing quite a bit.
>>146841886For an early access with no current advertising, it's doing well enough. That said, I only got 10 hours out of it before I moved on to my other games.
Post yours.Rookie numbers, I know. I'd have more but I was split between it and Dota2
>>146841915I also split between tf2 and dota
>>146841915Only recently played it within the last month or so because an old friend wanted to pub. Before that, I hadn't touched it in at least 2/3 years, so all this time is from before then.
>>146841915500 of these hours are from before MYM. I don't know when the other 100 were put in, feels like I only picked it back up for two weeks.
Scout: Jeremy WillisSoldier: Jane Doe (possibly even his government recorded name)Demoman: Tavish DegrootHeavy: Mikhail Engineer: Dell ConagherMedic: LudwigSniper: Mister Mundyand Florence Pauling. Spy and Pyro are the only ones without a real name.
>>146841965Almost 3.5k, nice. That's the standard for PoE and Warthunder people
>>146841915I only have 2 unusuals but both are pretty good
>>146841091Wait. Is it finally over? I could swear the last one I read ended with a To Be Concluded.
>>146841977In the end... the real Pyro was the friends we made along the way.I like that the story had no epic final battle, no terrifying boss... just a story about the emptiness and pointlessness of revenge.
>>146842001Take a look at this shit and tell me it isn't the end
>>146842001Yep. In true Valve fashion, they just shipped it without any prior hype announcement.
>>146842017Somewhere, a radical Team Fortress 2 fan would cope and say Valve's just waiting for the Heavy update to release a new issue after this.
>>146842017Scout could have totally tried his luck again with the Heavy sisters. Then again, that would have made Misha die inside.
>>146841417>>146841446Very nice work.

>they retconned the original photo
>>146840108Is the team as a whole even retarded though? Yeah, Soldier is a delusional wacko, Pyro is an unpredictable force of nature and Scout is an idiot but others are mostly fine. Sure, Medic is a psycho but he's also a genius so he should be considered valuable thanks to his groundbreaking discoveries and inventions, Engie is a genius too but he also has common sense, Heavy is a (surprisingly) highly educated and reasonable dude (as long as nobody touches his Sasha, Medic and his family), Demo is a completely normal guy when he isn't drunk and Sniper might be a loner and kind of a weirdo but he's a professionable who's able to behave like a normal guy most of the time.
>>146842093*professional
>>146842017https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k-HdGnzYdFQ
>>146842093All-in-all, I think it's a mixed bag of good and bads. Pyro's insane and only talks to Engie, Demo's a drunk liability, and Medic is generally despised for wanting to operate on his teammates. Maybe thematically, they're the guys who didn't make the cut for every other team. That or they're actually the cheapest compared to the others' asking rates.
>>146842017Kino. And Engie's missing in most team pages so that one's the apology.
>>146841322>>146842079did they? soldiers got his thumb on the torn part
>>146842112>>146842093The real question remains what war between the ACTUAL top tiers of the TF2verse even looks like, if there are notionally people who make Heavy, Sniper, Soldier, Spy and Pyro look like rank amateurs out there.I asked myself the same question about what war even looks like in Jason Statham's Transporter movies, because the shit his character does is NOT standard soldier training IRL.
>>146841417>>146841446She is 14

Feels good knowing that we were playing the least futuristic, most inefficiently equipped team even though game-wise, they ruined the aesthetic with the crossover weapons and holiday hats.

>>146842162She's not drunk enough. She needs to be blushing.
>>146842093When isn’t demo drunk?
>>146842128If anything, Scout's the picturesque "amateur" of the group. Sure he does scouting pretty well, but he's also the youngest and has the lowest health. Everyone else is just professional and mental.

>>146842267I'm a tiny bit disappointed that we didn't get a scene where they tease Pyro taking off his mask, and it's this big thing where everyone leans in for it and it's a big reveal; and then there's a smaller mask underneath it.

>>146841686Booth's tower of hats was more varied and wild, her father just seems to be the Gentlemanne of Leisure
>>146842128The real issue seems to be handling and professionalism. Yeah, the Teufort gang are terrifying in their pocket, but they tend to leave a lot of collateral damage in their wake and are really bad at focusing on their goals.Heavy seems like the one most likely to get to the big leagues, but he still suffers from really odious habits and his fixation on guns.In theory, the top leagues should be fast, efficient, focused, and deadly, instead of just dangerous to be around. From personal experience dealing with basic training, as well as with a limited understanding of military history, you tend not to be able to get a crew of people who are willing to get shot at without a level of batshit insanity creeping in.In other words, this is pretty much exactly what you would expect to happen: Nine trained killers with their various brands of dysfunction forming a found family and becoming murderous psychopaths towards anyone that isn't one of them.

Never thought Hale would get the best ending too.
>>146841091Makani's gone a long way.
>>146842093Sniper throws bottles of piss at people and is generally a super loner serial killer, Heavy is kind of poor and has to support his whole family, Demoman is constantly drunk and will actively charge a gunline with medieval weapons like a true scotsman (i mean he survives and thrives but that makes you look crazy), Issue 5 and 6 show that th TFC crew kind of hate the shit out of Medic because he actively experiments on his teammates and can surgically remove your soul, Engi works for Mann Co, Scout is a sex offending idiot who can barely read, Soldier is a delusional psychotic hobo, Pyro is.. Pyro. For me i believe Spy either joined because he already knew Scout was his son or because he's kind of lazy and wants to make money while dealing with idiots. Based on the photos on his wall in Expiration Date, Spy comes off as a bit of an adventurer type who liked travelling the world, he probably blows tons of cash on fancy shit and maybe the Gravel Wars pays just enough to support him
So, the Administrator was Zephinia's sister, right? That's what was implied by Zeph being put in the tiny grave? >>146842442>So, the Administrator was Zeph's sister, right? That's what was implied by Zeph being put in the tiny grave? Am I tweaking? No? I think it was to imply that he wants his two sons fighting to the death as early as their toddler years.
>>146842388She's a go-getter
>>146842442Bidwell can't do shit to a man with this much focus and willpower
>>146842425I get that they were running out of time; but it still feels weird that we didn't get a scene where he confronts Darling and wins her back before the timeskip. Even something as simple as Maggie telling him to prove that he's done with the company and Hale rushes off to kill a Kraken or something.
>>146842455>No? I think it was to imply that he wants his two sons fighting to the death as early as their toddler years. She literally says that out loud to him yeah, but like, Zeph dying happens way after that. So we still have no motivation for this bitch? She's just evil? The cover seems to imply her family got killed because of something involving the Mann family, but i've seen talks in this thread that make it seem like her beef would be with saxton more than anything.
>>146842442Just realized one of Soldier's kids having an eyepatch may be a cute reference to the time he and Demo were best buds.

>>146842469I think it's as simple as "she wanted revenge, ended up fetishizing it as the best thing she's ever experienced". In the final two issues, she's talked about how much she loved it and can't get enough of it. And then a sprinkle of immortality insanity here and there. In a meta sense, it might as well be like how we can't let go of Team Fortress 2.
>>146842442She put Zeph in the tiny hole as one final fuck you, denying him the glory of resting with the rest of the Mann 'winners' and relegating him to the forgotten Mann's in the cemetery. His whole life was dedicated towards raising an heir that deserved to be buried in the mausoleum, and in the end, Helen denies him his own spot in it.

>>146842547I can't decide if Grey is lucky she apparently never thought it necessary to meaningfully factor him into her revenge plans, or if she's lucky (well, luckier apart from the botched suicide thing) that Grey never thought of her as a loose end.
>>146842459He never lost her, he just pursued Mann Co. over a life of adventure and she wasn't willing to wait for him. There's multiple scenes of them having conversations and laughing along until he mentions getting back Mann Co. and her face sours.

Since the comic is over, lets discuss the unique style they have for advancing and making panels change or adding new details to them. Specifically, what are your favorite moments created by this method? For me it's gotta be what comes next in this part.

>>146839919I appreciate it.I finished it. Great read, there were parts I didn’t like, but those were mostly “me” issues with challenging the game’s canon(like the time skip, something I’ve never been a fan of, or apparent end of their employment), from a story perspective, it’s quite satisfying. Still would’ve been nice if Scout and Pauling eventually got together after the kids. But the game itself doesn’t really have a true canon and does whatever it wants, like Hale trying to retake Mann Co. while Grey Mann has the TF2 mercs try to kill him), so what’s canon is ultimately up to you. I personally am going to believe they kept fighting under Miss Pauling.Good read, and the cheesy invitation for the viewer to the Smissmas party was perfect. Not sure how I feel about Spy being unmasked though, feel like they should’ve left that out.
The comic was good overall but I HATE how they characterized engie. If you look at the games and the voice lines in the games, he has as much of a god complex as medic, but in the comics he's just some humble down-to-earth good-old-boy. What happened? Where's the man screaming 'I AM GOD" when ubercharged and putting robber's souls into pumpkins? THIS TEAM HAS TWO MAD SCIENTSITS GODDAMNIT!
>>146842797>Not sure how I feel about Spy being unmasked though, feel like they should’ve left that out. They did justice by not peeking under Pyro's. I think it just matches the consistent closure theme especially since it's obvious how much bias the writers have for Scout compared to certain other mercs.
>>146841674God, I hope so.
>>146842802The thing is a lot of the mercs here are muted from their Meet The's and their game lines except for Soldier, who was exaggerated compared to his first few comics. It's also apparent that because there were so many characters here, they couldn't find a way to incorporate Engine in without making him a minor character.
>>146842797It's a sendoff at least. Valve can't say goodbye officially and neither could the fanbase. This is their best bet unless they truly pull the plug.
>>146842784>Ms Pauling using Spy's weaponI guess that fits
>>146842797>Pauling after losing the administrator is lost for a while>Not having scout chasing her anymore is actually a bigger blow to her than she expected because now she doesn't feel like there is anyone that needs her>After several years she runs into scout again and in a moment of weakness tries to flirt with him because she needs someone to validate her>It naturally causes scout to go right back to trying to fuck her and being so desperate for the attention she breaks down and accepts>She keeps telling herself that Scout's body is slender and feminine so she can just pretend it's a woman>But scout is God's gift to women after all....>After the sex Pauling is laying in bed with the biggest "Oh shit, what have I done, I've fucked up so bad" look on her face as she realizes she just let Scout turn her straight, or at least bi.
>>146842830>as she realizes she just let Scout turn her straight, or at least bi.Note to anyone who ever fucks a lesbian do not make these kinds of jokes with her, best to just reassure her you're a special one off
>>146841091Only complaint is I initially thought the Administrators revenge would have made more sense if Zeph was respnsible for the death of her child(ren) not her parents, would make her initial plan to target Redmond and Blutarch more of an eye for and eye thing and add a sinister angle to her playing a sort of parent matriarch figure to Pauline and the Mercs. Although I guess that would have conflicted with >>146841222 so I guess the choice is undersandable.
>>146842835do lesbians actually date straight dudes. i thought this was against the whole being lesbian thing?
>>146842892>do lesbians actually date straight dudes. No because they're lesbians but sometimes shit happens
>>146842892From personal experience, it's a mixed bag from lesbians wanting to experiment to bi's in denial and lesbians who are already friends with a guy they're fond of platonically. I once knew a fruity gay guy who became a dad because he had drunk sex with his bestie who is a woman. They're co-raising the kid as responsibly as they could. At the end of the day, it's mostly just confusion and human sexuality.
>>146842915>it's a mixed bag from lesbians wanting to experiment to bi's in denial and lesbians who are already friends with a guy they're fond of platonically>platonicallythe amount of lesbians ive seen who ended up saying theyre bi and marrying some dude friend makes me wonder if lesbian means lesbian
>>146842921It's confusing at times. Usually it falls under either sexuality or preference. It's much less of a headache to just assume every gay person is bi. But anyways, we're getting off track. Here's a pic of Miss Pauling's dating ad to compensate.
>>146842921I'm still not convinced lesbian and gay isn't just a fetish.
>>146842931Every lesbian couple I've seen is completely based on them fucking or some fetish or something related to sex. I'm not saying heterosexual relationships are perfect but those seem to work on some level of mutual understanding and if they have kids, making sure the kids are raised well. Even the gays seem to be able to live like normal people. Lesbians just seem to only be obsessed with sex and only talk about sex openly and I don't know if this is the norm.
>>146842802>>146842819Not like Pyro got to do much either.Mostly just "there" in the background if you're lucky.
>>146842939Being a Pyro fan is suffering. Guess it could have gone one way or the other (that being his identity could have been story or Engie related) but at the end of the day, it didn't matter. I'd still wish for more gags with him.
>>146842929It's funny because Soldier's illiterate
>>146842929>It's much less of a headache to just assume every gay person is bithis seems more true of dykes than fags.>>146842835>fuck a lesbian>as a guylol. lmao even.

>>146842931>>146842938I'm gay and I feel like these people make the rest of us look bad
>>146842939It always annoys me whenever you have a mute or otherwise communicatively disadvantaged character and they're just completely sidelined and reduced to a background prop. Another example is Kenny from South Park. You can absolutely have fleshed-out characters with arcs with little to no speech. It's just writers being lazy and it makes you wonder why the fuck they made them mute in the first place if they're too lazy to work around that disadvantage.

>>146842970I think it's also the fact that they don't want to actually open the can of worms that is Pyro's lore. They can do deep with him but they decided not to and the deepest we've ever gotten of her is the Meet the Pyro video. Though I'll admit they definitely tried avoiding it since even with Engineer, Pyro's just a support character.
>>146842975I am very indifferent towards lesbians. I can relate to all men, straight or otherwise, because I'm a man. I can relate to straight or bi women because we both like men. But lesbians are like fucking aliens to me and I want nothing to do with them. Nothing personal.
>>146842992Why are you friends with a radfem who explicitly hates you in the first place? I'm not the type of guy to not be friends with someone over their political views, but if their political views are specifically targeting ME, that's pretty incompatible and you're a pushover if you don't have a problem with that. And she's a hypocrite.
>>146842975>>146842995every lesbian ive met has been some angry fuck, perverted, is a fucking cariacture of some butch abuser, or cant hold a conversation like a normal person. either that or they just try to act and turn into a guy and fail miserably because lets be real here. gays blend in a lot better and have better social skills.
>>146842985It's a deep issue. Speaking as someone who's had crazies for friends. One specifically, everytime I spoke about another girl, she admitted she felt jealous because of a weird perceived irrelevance despite her being in a relationship. Worst case scenario, you're seen as a back-up friend or something.
>>146843000>And she's a hypocriteLesbians in a nutshell
Bit of a shame that Engie got so little screentime compared to the others, but I like when he's advising Pauling to let it go.

>>146843022read it all first dummy
>>146843022I debated the same. Ultimately I went with reading the comic first and I'm glad I did. It's really not that long anyways.
>>146843001I don't know many dykes but the few I met were kind of into the same types of girls EDP liked. Disgusting really.
>>146843016Yeah I kept her around primarily because I didn't have a lot of friends, but we eventually separated after a few years of drifting apart and we found new friends since then. I can describe her jealousy as possessive, but not really toxic outside of our occasional hang outs since we usually visited shooting ranges and buffets together.
>>146843014At least what screen time he got was really good
>>146843022Reread. I was lucky enough to have read the whole thing a month ago out of boredom and a lot of the small details still stayed with me.
>>146843014>>146843038Yeah, I'm an Engie player and it's a shame he's just the important lore guy kept to the sidelines. Then again, ever since >>146842819, he was destined to be one for the rest of the story.
>>146843035I don't get the possessive part though. Do they do that because they're lonely? The one I know gets really really fucking insane mad on her Twitter not directly to me if I even mention chatting up another girl.
>>146843038I'd ask for more. For every comic they released, he hardly got the spotlight he deserved. Okay, he did get a good spotlight in the Expiration Date short, but that was it.
>>146843019It's the same desk she had when she was six; Hal just never bothered to give her a new one as she aged. He set up a trust for her and maybe adopted her(?), I don't think he hates her.
>>146843045Possessive as in "don't talk about other attractive friends while we're hanging" unless it's ranting about officemates, which I presumed she wasn't exactly happy with her romantic relationship and just wanted my platonic company. If your crazy ass friend is how you describe her, my condolences. Better to cut her loose or keep her at a pole's length. Mine was just insecure with shared backstory between us, but not nearly as miserable to be with.
>>146843049Bidwell would have liked to have adopted her, probably. It would have been funny too if she ended up making him her butler and the dynamics he had with Saxton continued with Olivia.

I'm overall satisfied with the ending and I'm glad the shitty ass greentext leak (whether it was from a genuine source or not) did not happen. My only complain is the lack of panels and lines from every merc that wasn't Soldier, Scout, Spy or Heavy, bit weird that characters like Merasmus, Saxton and Olivia (I know the last two were plot relevant but still) got much more focus than half of the main cast.
>>146841091La Grande Madre.....
>>146841322I want more lore of gray mann, and silas mann.
>>146843312Well yeah, it was disappointing that Pyro, Sniper, Medic, and Engie got pushed to the side. At least Merasmus is considered a legacy villain in-game by Halloween standards, but still- seven years waiting and all.
>>146843265>full of the shitpainted on the hull not full
>>146842570No, I get that; I'm just saying that it's weird that after she just exits the story because he's still obsessed with the company, we never really get an answer as to why he stops being obsessed with it. It's just glossed over in the timeskip. He ruined his relationship with Mags over the company and then he just wakes up one day and goes 'actually, I've always hated this company, I'm just going to quit.' There needs to be a catalyst. And sure, you could argue that Olivia was that catalyst, but like, c'mon. That can't be the first time he's had that conversation.>>146843323I love that Merasmus just forced his way into the story by sheer stubbornness. He just keeps coming back, no matter how little sense it makes, he's like a human running joke.
>>146843323>>146843312Heavy and Medic didn't kiss, shit ending.
>>146841214>It's not just for meNOW WE KNOW
>>146843333First off, nice quads. Hale's been shown to be stubborn as hell and the only thing that could match that is boredom. But I think the con has more to do with squeezing as much in the already late comic as possible. Whatever we felt was seen too little in the comiic, we can only hope some fan art can make the most out of it.
>>146842267They probably already did, you just didn't realize.
>>146843333he embodies Team Fortress 2. He keeps dying, he keeps coming back, and he hangs around like a ghost even after taking a beating.
>>146843353I totally agree; it is just an issue of them running out of time, ironically. There's only so much space in the story and the Hale plotline is the B-plot. It's gonna get cut. But it would have been nice to have Hale really question why he's even sticking with the company, why he's gone so far to become the CEO again, when his real love is for adventure. It's unsatisfying to have him just up and leave one day without hitting that grand revelation. It is the entire focus of his plotline.
All the kinda' loose ends and dangling plotlines are basically summed up by "there was a 7 year time skip" and, if you want to be meta about it, that 7 years is the time that people are still going to keep playing TF2 even now. But it seems pretty clear that Valve is saying that they're done with TF2 with the comic and they're giving people plenty of wiggle room in the middle to still have some fun with, but they wrote the best damn ending they really could and thanked everyone along the way. Honestly seems like the best of both worlds.

Random lore that means nothing.>American Soldier? Nah, Canadian, also he's impregnated a Russian>Ozzie Snipa? Nah, Kiwi>there's a limited amount of Australium until we just state there's a cave that the Soldier has never been living in has always been living in>the Medic has a deal with the devil or something, who caresIt's a shame this was tied to TF2 which has a solid series of animated shorts that put most modern, professional productions to shame, even if the good people had clearly left by the time of Meet the Pyro and Le Bread Teleportation.I'm glad it's over.>>146841785>>146841839>TFcomic back then: all the mercs are men, just like in the game, just with minor race swapping>>146842172>TFcomic now: womenThe statue and various portraits the mercs were looking at were more Overwatch than TF2. I am 100% sure the daughter spy gave his mask as a gift is Scout and Pauline's daughter because it took a year after the entire lawsuit and she free from her administrator obsession and insane "love" to admit that she loves scout like the expiration date but she was too married to the administrator's shit that only after she died she learned what family and love is from the Mercs and Scout.

Scout having a bunch of babymamas and happily raising his kids is a full-circle thing for him. YES obviously he's gods gift to women and too stupid to pull out, but remember he had 7 brothers and a deadbeat dad, with a mother forced to raise all her kids on her own. While he's arguably in a similar position to her, he didn't abandon his offpsring like his dad did.

I'm bitter. Valve has abandoned this game for 7 years now, ignored a horrible bot issue, never gave us the heavy update, and the sappy sentimental ending tells me that it's over; not just the comics but tf2 as a whole. They're 'sending it off'. No heavy update, no final update of any kind, like the final pages with saxton this game is gonna wither away until eventually it dies an uncerimonious death. The fandom is still alive, it's still going strong, WE annoyed valve until they did something about the bots (they didnt really fix it at all but we all pretend it's better now), and this comic ending specifically how it did feels like they're trying to get us to leave at this point, they want us to move on to something else and let the game die. :(
>>146844825They got rid of the bots

I don't even play tf2 but I know a bunch about it because of just browsing here, /v/, gmod vids, etc. I kinda forgot all the covers were homage parodies and yesterday I happened across Batman Year One Issue 1 and bought it. Today it just clicked that comic 7 is a parody of that cover. Weird how things happen in sync like that.

He did always seem like a guy that would be a cool older brother. Still kind of a shame he never got together with Miss Pauling, or give Miss Pauling any sort of life outside of work. So the conclusion is that Elizabeth/Administrator had this everlasting hateboner for Zepheniah and even if she forgot the actual reason behind it she decided to:- making sure red and blue feud will stuck forever- she decided to resurrect zepheniah just to torment him more- And the whole deal with Gray Mann, was just "an obstacle" in Elizabeth? At the end she regret nothing. She enjoyed this hateboner all the time. One question though... Given she would still have australium. What was her plan since red and blue were killed? Feels like the main source of Zeph misery (i.e. lack of successor) was no more.
>>146849687Her goal was simply prolonging Zeph's suffering. She doesn't care of the OG mercs weren't there to keep the fight because there's TF Industries - plenty of mercs at her disposal if she puppeteers it. I didn't read the thread, but.About that retconned picture, like i heard it was supposed to be Gray Mann there. That picture was taken when Zepheniah was still alive, right? And when Gray Mann ressurected her (which was after Zepheniah died) he looked like a kid, right? So it could be that the only thing they retconned was his height./UPD reread the issue, he wasn't a kid, just a tad bit shorter than administrator. And like they retconned when administrator got that white hair streak. So forget about it.
>>146850084I doubt that was Grey, i don't think Zepheniah learned that Grey was alive until after his first death. Also Grey's introduction states that he is small even if he was newly born.
