This isn't Avengers where half the cast already had a movie to explain who they are, this would be the launching point. Sure you could have Robin be the same one from BatB to save time on him, but that's still a lot. Using the cartoon lineup just makes it easier to save screen time, and those other characters can be set up in other projects like the Amazons show for Wondergirl, and they can then be put into Titans 2, presuming WB hasn't gone completely under by then.

>>146906929It's been painfully obvious what was going to happen since Gunn first announced that he wanted to do Batman & Son. Everyone kept talking about Damian being Robin, but that's not the arc. They want this stuff to be successful, they're going to use the iconic versions of the characters. Batman will be about Bruce as Batman, Dick as Robin, and how their lives change when Damian shows up. Robin will spin off to Teen Titans. They can do Robin becoming Nightwing in a sequel.
