I'm trying to beef up my bookmarks and I need webcomic recommendations. SFW, NSFW, alive, dead, good, bad; as long as it's interesting and has a tolerable webpage, it's good.

hey, thanks a lot
something that i haven't really stopped to think much about is just how much of a disparity there is between artists who are willing to publicly draw suggestive/porn art and how many aren't, and how that creates a rift of quality between the two. i've spent so much time browsing Hypnohub because when i was a teen i only cared about beating off, and the quality mean/median/mode for booru porn sites is so much lower than it is for all these public-facing SFW indie comics. it just warms me up inside to see this world still flourishing with no compromise after a good 25 years and makes me feel very hopeful for my future. lots of adventure to be had once these people start networking in real life and all the political unrest cools down, methinks!

Kit'n'Kay Boodle - A classic, dead, author died, site will probably break at some point
Murry Purry Fresh and Furry - dead and gone as far as I know, site is gone, maybe archived somewhere
"Horny Bisexual Roommates" - not sure of the exact name, no schedule, hosted on social media
>>
I like homestuck, have you heard of it?. the first half is pretty good, the use of multimedia and interactivity truly brings the medium to it's full potential as not a simple comic, but an webcomic, that is something never done to the extent it did, is not only about the art, but the music, how is written, the silly games and even the site format or who was reading at the time of being published. the second half is okay, it starts strong but the ending is a wet far that kinda ruins the whole experience.

Pokemon Victory Fire
https://www.deviantart.com/sulfurbunny/art/PMD-VF-000-This-is-a-story-from-long-ago-288225011
it's unfinished, and by what the name suggests, it's obviously basically just fanfiction. but i still think the story stands well on its own. there's a few characters and moments from games that can be a bit hard to wrap your head around if you don't know much about the franchise, but i think the good writing will help take care of that confusion.

good art, good writing (good dialogue and neat worldbuilding)... it's all you could ask for, really.

>This one's website died, but the original story arc is finished.
Two arcs, actually: The knight's own quest to try and lift his own curse, and the return home to an ongoing succession war

Also, as much as I can understand a baby making life too busy to handle a comic on the side, it was still weirdly abrupt how the comic went from "sorry guys, life's busy, see you again some day hopefully" to a dead website in the span of a couple months.
I hope he's doing alright.

I'd been following this one as it updated, but decided to take a break at the end of the most recent chapter to let some pages build up, then read them all in one go. Next time I checked, it'd been about a year since the last update. Hopefully the author is okay and just taking a hiatus. They don't have any social media presence to check for activity on, so I don't know

The Illustrated Guide to Law (lawcomic.net) isn't a typical webcomic, but it's a treasure and a joy. It's been on hiatus (or dead?) for several months now, but if you like deep dives it's the deepest. And fun.
>>
>>146990039
I like it. Nice and punchy, good visuals, good Martian ghost robot, doesn't overstay its welcome. It's way better than The Meek, the author's other comic people are still sucking off to this day. I get that people were into it when it just came out, when it was one of the first webcomics with professional level art. And casual nudity. But it's an overambitious slog with too many characters and a poor sense of tone.

Also, the author is still raking in Patreon bucks despite having abandoned it entirely, which I'm considering more of an irresponsible, callous scam as time goes on

To be fair, Schlock never stops looking like it was drawn by a spaz. I used to read it back in the day, and even caught up a few years ago, but Jesus is it rough on the eyes. And it's not funny. It gets by purely on being decent military science fiction, and I originally stopped reading it during that circus arc because it became all comedy. And it's just bad, baaaaaaad at it. Fuck, there's even a video of the author filling in for Brandon Sanderson in one of those fiction writing classes he does, and he's painfully unfunny there, too.

Honestly, I think comedy is used as a crutch by a lot of webcomic artists who'd do something serious if they weren't art-blind.

>says the woman, who will throw a shitfit if you compare her to any other woman in any way, even if it's in a positive light
I don't think that's true. I think i've complemented women by comparing them to famous women in the past.

I think the ego is the same for men and women. I have plenty of stories about my family members male and female acting super insecure about stupid shit.

I could definitely piss off the men in my family by comparing them to other men.
The thing is that some comparisons can come across as passive aggressive insults. You have to be mindful of how you say things.

though in DemonTomatoDave's case, the challenge became "can I do a silly Christmas story every day in December while writing it like an excited illiterate child who should be banned" and he did. for years.

I'm both relieved and disappointed that i'm not on bad webcomics wiki OR on tvtropes. I want to not be on their side.

Do you not save a folder of favorites/bookmarks that have finished? mine is massive. hundreds of dead or sleeping or retired comics.
>christian animal allegory
oh that sounds great. A surprising number of people I follow are believers without getting uppity about it, and there's also some delightfully naive comics by Samuel Zarate that are actually very sweet and funny and occasionally badass. He's got a bunch of them, Lioness and Cub, Zero and Gravity, Double Blade, and ZAM! comics which includes a bunch of other smaller ones. Occasionally puts God stuff in there, just nice. I try to help him with his English because it's a little off sometimes.
>>
>>147012491
Bookmarks, yes. Unfortunately it does not help much with dead websites too often. RIP stuff by Illuminated. I really need to get into downloading stuff this year.
I do recommend Journey Upstream very much! The art is nothing short of breathtaking. There was a bit of RL drama with the Journey Upstream author being accused of getting uppity about her beliefs due to another earlier Christian-themed comic of hers. Although it was mostly due to the vocal antireligious parts of her fanbase feeling betrayed over her announcing the end of her postapo horror Nordic fantasy adventure around that time.
I'll try to check the comics you listed sometime soon!

Yeah, I read that one. Can't remember what it was called, because it had a proper weird name. Then again, EVERYTHING was weird about that comic. The comic never hits that point, but it was pretty clear from the concept art that God-boy was going to become the next Hitler and do Mengele type shit to the genderless faun and taur critters. The author was a woman, BTW

The problem with the bad webcomics wiki is that it tries to emulate the style of John Solomon, a short-lived but popular blog that made fun of bad webcomics. In retrospect John Solomon wasn't all that funny, and bad webcomics wiki is worse. And you just can't point and laugh at the retards when you're one of them.

>>147011629
>>147011677
The bad webcomics wiki never perpetrated smear campaigns with the express purpose of removing the offending material from the internet and the offending persons from their livelihood. That's the definition of "cancel culture". It means a person is "canceled". But you know that, and you're just doing the culture war thing of trying to obfuscate tactics you approve of by trying to retroactively foist them on literally everyone.

Why do people keep posting this goddamn question every time we have these threads? No Anon, webcomics are alive. And if you want to count webtoons, they are more popular than ever. I don't want to count webtoons, because they're so far removed from traditional webcomics that they might as well be something completely different. All the BL garbage might as well not exist for me. Here's the thing, though: Comics are nerd shit. Webcomics are also nerd shit. The internet rapidly normified after the turn of the millennium, so the proportion of nerds to normies is lower than ever. I mean, you know the young people who have completely abandoned Facebook because their grannies and aunts started using it? Yeah, THEY were the normies who came in and ruined it for us nerds. Let alone their grannies and aunts.

What you remember as internet culture was a nerd-heavy environment. Today, wider internet culture is infused with the attitudes of general society. You want a viral hit webcomic? Lore Olypmpus. There you go. Boring romance with a babby's first experience with art style. It won awards. It was advertised in actual public spaces. I don't know, homie. I'll take the shit only nerds have heard of.

not really interested in the Pokemon games, but i do like the Pokemon themselves. has really good and engaging characters, nice world building, and impressive art. it's unfinished, though. 8.5/10
>Team Fortress 2 main comics
perfect. great art, great jokes, great characters. not much to complain about here, unless you wanna mention how long it took for the final issue to come out. 10/10.
>Drop-Out
what the characters are is what most people call "wokeshit", but i actually didn't mind the comic. i don't relate to the two main characters, but i found them decent enough. the art's a little weird, but it's serviceable. 7/10.
>Legoshi enters a diner
it's basically just a giant meme, but i think it still counts as a webcomic, since it has quite a lot of pages for a shitpost. 7/10.
>Dog Haus
bit of a gag comic, but it does have storylines. it's funny sometimes, but i think the comic is just trying to be silly but honest and serious at the same time. 7/10.
>Felinia
story about a fox meeting anthro foxes. got discontinued then the creator went to work on Satina (which i find to be better, honestly). when i read it years ago, i thought it was pretty good, but looking back now, maybe not so much. 7.5/10.
>Off Saving The World
aliens and a human trying to save the world, discontinued. the writing feels kind of forced and a bit childish whenever i remember it. 4/10.
i'm really starting to want to read more and read better stuff at this point, gonna be honest

webcomics are already niche, and that wiki is even more so. most of the articles are written by a handful of people. I think its leess than 10 active users.
Tvtropes is no where near as dead (I can pull out stats if you want).

badwebcomics wiki is also full of retards. It'd be hyperbolic to call them iliterate, but they lack a lot of reading comprehension. One I time I saw one of the admins skip massive parts of a comic and complain he didn't know what's going on.

Concluded webcomic about a doctor who is also a ninja. Site's down, but the whole thing's been archived. Very much worth a read. Might be worth skipping to the chapter where the art gets color, honestly.
>Hero Oh Hero
https://www.neorice.com/hoh_4068
Several loosely connected, and concurrently running, stories rendered in reasonably charming pixel art. A little confusing to follow if you're as retarded as me, but still worth checking out to see if it catches your eye.
>Sam and Fuzzy

Another long-runner, having transitioned from goofy hijinks to elaborate dramatic storytelling over the years. Now that the actual story's wrapped up, the author has wound down to goofy hijinks again.
>Keychain of Creation

Some webcomics with stories I've enjoyed:

>Order of the Stick
D&D spoof with stick figure art, but solid writing. Starts off being mostly comedic with bare bones plot, but after the first arc it rapidly becomes more and more plot heavy, though still remembering to tell jokes almost every page. Decently funny read if you enjoy fantasy tropes, even if you don't know anything about D&D. It's very long, and still being made, so you will have something to keep you occupied for a while. It's also very SFW.

>Starslip
A sc-fi gag strip (lampooning Star Trek mostly) that turns into a serious drama as it goes. It's finished and can be read in one sitting if you have a few hours. SFW and easy reading. Since I haven't seen it recommended yet, here's a link: https://starslip.krisstraub.com/20050523.shtml

>Unsounded
This is THE epic fantasy webcomic. It's been heavily recommended already but I'll lend my voice to the chorus. It's got fantastic writing, both world-building and dialogue. The art is also pretty incredible, though a little rough on some pages at the start, the author shows her talent with a couple jaw-dropping full page illustrations. It's extremely long, running like 15 years now, and the final chapter is winding down now. It's also occasionally NSFW (nudity + gore).

>Ennui Go
This is like 2 web comics that share a title. Part 1 is HEAVILY pornographic while Part 2 has zero porn content in it, and focuses on a different set of characters (though they are closely related to the cast of Part 1). You can think of Part 1 being about its main character: a sociopathic female billionaire game dev, and her insane antics and degenerate lifestyle. Starts off as a gag strip (with a lot of jokes about American comic books, notably) but has more and lengthier story arcs that get more serious. Once her story is done it shifts to her nephew and his friends, and it's a lot less episodic right off the bat in part 2, though it still does one-off gag strips now and then.
>>
>>147030360
>Like I said, that garbage is in there,
I thought you meant that there was going to be trannies in it or something.
>>
>>147030413
well like I said they put gay marriage in there out of fucking nowhere, in a setting where i can't believe marriage even exists. and there's KINDA trannies but they're alien creatures so I let that shit slide. the titular King is a girl, but that's straight out of anime.
It's just yknow, dripping with the smell of 2000s tumblrshit. and I give it credit because it got me to read REALLY far in while forgiving all of that, ignoring the huge red flags. We could all learn a thing or two about that.
>>
>>147023344
How would you make submersion central to the plot and have work? Would you read it?
>>
>>147030360
>okay what do you think is good art.
A sense of style. First pages are fairly dynamic, but look like sketch art rather than finished work. And they could use a little more contrast. Last few pages are all just talking heads. One page after the other. Shot, countershot. It's visually boring. I looked at a bunch of pages and there was one panel that had some dynamism and set the scene better than the others.
>>
>>147031741
Finishedment, contrast, and panel composition do not sound like what you were complaining about.
I will grant though that I'm the kinda person who sees everything as just talking heads, regardless of what actually happens. My brain just smushes it down to 'stage play / sprite comic' and that's where I see everything. so I don't notice if careful direction shots are missing.
>>
>>147031785
>finishedment, the unobtainium of webcomics

And the first batch's here

>The Quest of Casey Tailor
Mildly interesting and engaging story. Setting barely leans on the fantasy side of things, magic's just sort of there, nothing flashy. Story could well have been set in the modern day without much change.
Major androgynous face issues, plenty "draw a girl and call it a boy" (and viceversa) characters. A couple niggers here, a couple pronouns there, and a gay couple on the side that's been quickly left behind as the plot progresses: All just flavor, really; with little bearing on the story so far. Tolerable.
Plot itself is moving along just fine, if a bit slow. About 70 pages in and what I'm guessing is the main cast has finally assembled around helping the MC on his first hurdle (hitching a ride to town for info on his sister)

>Clover and Cutlass
Lesbian teen romance with nigger orcs, ten pages in and the main characters blurts out she's trans. Whether the author plans to make the comic about this LGBT stuff or they're just using it to earn SJW brownie points for advertisement's sake, it's clear I'm not the target audience.
Character interactions and general writing irks me for some reason, feel too silly. Only positive is I find the artstyle oddly charming despite it's simplicity, at least in the fifteen pages or so I've read before dropping it.

>Prophet of the sun
Kinda on the fence on this one. On one hand, interesting premise: Some poor dude becomes half prophet/half up street performer/half ticking bomb in it's attempt to both earn coin to live and hold back the murderous deity the MC is a conduit for.
On the other hand: They/them MC with social anxiety and mommy issues. Felt like an author self-insert (and probably is), and so heavyhanded it nearly took me out of the comic. Reading some more though, it's actually working out fine, in a "MC is a tortured artist" kinda way? I might keep an eye on this one I guess

Hopefully next week's batch will be better

>Gunnerkrigg Court
Not amazing, decent art, good paneling whenever Coyote is talking, fun to talk about on /co/.
>Sinfest
Going into wild territory with him these days.
>IT HURTS!!! and PLEASE FORGIVE ME!!
Part of the same series, first is a wild apocalyptic adventure, second is a heart tugging SoL.
>Laserwing
/hyw/ series, rarely updates. Bunch of teens start getting super powers and meeting aliens. Give it a try, I love it. The author has a whole universe envisioned, when she isn't getting distracted by fucking Gaia adoptable pets.
>How My Gardevoir Became A Pornstar
Pokefucker comic, surprising amount of compelling drama and romance among all the tits. Sideproject focusing on Hex Manics.
>Tad Danger: Substitute Ranger
Another /hyw/ series, middleaged schlub freelancer with a modular combining robot in a world teeming with kaiju and mecha. Seems like he was building his own team before it went on hiatus when the author got married and decided to make a fighting game about plants. Think if Carl from ATHF moonlighted as a Power Ranger.
>>
>>147034268
Megan's love for adoptable pets is part of what makes her the perfect writer and artist for this comic! it's downright inspiring.
>Tad Danger
I dunno if the marriage had anything to do with the hiatus, but Passy and Smacky are the cutest damn couple and I'm so glad that worked out. I was rooting for them from the getgo.

It has a finished arc as a prologue and then continues with a post-apocalyptic story.

Basically an evil dictator pursuing safety and stability replaces half the population into sleeper agents by converting their insides with stuffing. The second arc is a super cyborg kitty cat adopting kittens and slaughtering cannibals and raiders.

Gunnerkrigg Court is pretty cool, it has a strange mash up of sci-fi and fantasy that I find pretty compelling. It's been running since 2005 with regular updates to this day, so it's up to over 3000 pages.
It also does something that I've only ever seen before in One Piece, where the author will both set things up in early chapters that can't be properly explained for years, and also take small seemingly insignificant things from early on and reintergrate them into the story in such a way that you can't even tell if he planned it that way from the beginning.
>>

That said, the setting is interesting and some of the murderfucking tickles my pickle. Thanks for sharing.

fucking ew, always hate to see it. but at least you aren't re-scaling panels (yet), like Weekly Roll does
tell me you've got a proper site you post the actual pages at, the way they were intended to be read
>>
>>147049527
I hate webtoon pacing so fucking much. Your comic isn't an episode of an anime you don't need to waste 10 panels on a zoom in or conversation. No wonder most webtoons are 3 fucking pages before the artist gives up.
>>
>>147049613
Worst part is it's not even some webtoon imposed pre-requisite, but some sort of site "culture" (brainrot, more like)
Gumshoe City has perfectly normal pages, just arranged vertically because entire chapters are grouped per update
In Our Shadow is even more traditional and webcomic-like, posting one perfectly normal page per update so it reads like every other webcomic out there
And I don't see anyone going after them and demanding they split it all up into single panels twenty goddamn miles apart

Whenever I have a choice between webtoons and some other host, I always choose said other host, even if that means relying on Tapas and hoping they don't finally kill their RSS feeds for good
>>
>>147049613
You may want to give the comics currently being made by anons on /ic/ a try. There's a substantial number that are intentionally eschewing the webtoon format. Some of the stories are decent.
>>
>>147049799

Honestly I came close to quitting alot in past 2 years but felt that I would come back to this regardless if I announced that. It's honestly been very tough getting people interested in Tom N Artie compared to my other work as Kaiju Dayz is the main seller for me (which makes sense as it's more normie-friendly). Guess it is a passion project since I pump alot of money into it and don't really get a return nor did I ever expect one, I just wanted to write a fun actiony/comedy comic.

The glimpses of the new style has attracted people back as I teamed up with an artist friend of mine for it. He's been having a blast drawing it as I give him alot of freedom and he makes more use of Artie's cartoony nature. The first artist is still on board but she'll only be the colorist going forward.

I do have a comic fury page, unfortunately I haven’t updated it since october. I’ll probably do a mass upload to comic fury this afternoon if that will help, There just weren’t enough active readers on comic fury to justify daily posting.

I really need a program that can schedule and automatically upload my work across multiple sites at once. The tedium of posting to 5+ sites alone was brain melting and time eating, I can only reasonably manage three.

As far as the hate for the webtoon format goes. I’ve heard people complain about it before. I don’t think it’s as bad as you all are making it out to be, it has some benefits, vertical spreads can be really cool when done well. And dialog can be given room to breathe. I know my comic has benefitted from it. But to each their own I guess.
>>
>>147050198
Oh yeah, The other two sites it’s on is Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/WishFulfillment/s/V8WqZVu11T

and iFunny, I’m not linking it iFunny is objectively dogshit.

As to why those two, they were easier to build followings on. Instagram and the website formerly known as Twitter are the equivalent of pissing into the wind. You have to have a dedicated hype squad to get the ball rolling.

99% of Reddit comics are terrible so my stuff winds up standing out fairly well. The same goes for iFunny, Meme sites like it have captive audiences and systems that can get your stuff in front of thousands of people, for Free might I add.

Honestly I shouldn’t have to explain myself on my site choices, but I’ve been asked plenty of times before so I might as well say something

Reddit started working more for advertising when I stopped posting in places like r/comics or r/Webtoons. I began targeting the non-creator subreddits for people posting military or soldiers fighting monsters and that's been doing a way better job of pulling readers. They actually do comment, share and try to get others pulled into it. I do tell people that those comic subreddits should really only be secondary if you're trying to get your stuff out there.
>>
>>147050198
Well, you are right that vertical format can work. Comics like Thunderpaw made good use of infinite canvas (in either direction, not just vertical) *as needed*, while paying attention to paneling. Comics like Nature of Nature's Art routinely have have pages that extend vertically, but would otherwise be perfectly normal composition-wise, with though being put into layout. And it's not afraid to go horizontal when the situation calls for it.
There is a good handful of webcomics out there that do exploit the idea of an infinite canvas to good effect, that have both a decent sense of dramatic effect and composition, that plan their pages with this sort of freedom in mind ahead of time

And maybe I've got the wrong impression here, but >>147049527 just doesn't look like it.
It just looks like a nice spread, turned sideways into a neck-pain to conform to some bizarre expectation that if you're on webtoon everything must always be vertical.

Still, not the worst instance I've seen of this
First off, I must retract my words on Weekly Roll rescaling panels, as I can't find them anymore. Maybe they've fixed it since. Or more likely, I just hallucinated it, confusing it with another grayscale comic that did do that. My bad.

But I've recalled a far more egregious example: Oi! Tales of Bardic Fury
Compare, the same page as seen on Tapas (picrel) vs as seen on webtoons https://www.webtoons.com/en/canvas/oi-tales-of-bardic-fury/the-beach-episode-finale/viewer?title_no=303092&episode_no=125
Every single panel, cropped out, re-scaled to full page width and mindlessly stacked on top of each other with no rhyme or reason.
It hurts to see.

An outright disturbing example is The Dragoness Says Sit, a webcomic some anons mentioned about a couple threads back:
If you check their patreon for public posts you'll see them posting their comic pages in smewhat traditional format.
Visit their actual site though, and you get the same deal as Oi!: lazy, vertically stacked and re-scaled panels, with zero regard for the original layout.

I may hate seeing people butchering their comics for webtoon, but I can understanding wanting to fit some perceived mold at least.
This though? I simply can't for the life of me understand why anyone would willingly do something like that to themselves on a site they've got full control over.

Here's my psychedelic fantasy webcomic Oi! Tales of Bardic Fury. It's a fantasy drama about bards, druids and idols. It's set in Ireland in 360 AD but it's very anachronism so don't go in expecting historic accuracy.
https://namicomi.com/en/title/ufQC7cAD/oi-tales-of-bardic-fury

I got over 800 pages and 3 volumes completed, and it tells a full story that is oi part 1. The art improves over time.

Right now I'm working on a sci fi romantic comedy called Cosmic Crush, about an ancient astronaut conspiracy theorist girl and the alien prince of Pluto.

New updates should be dropping this month.

>And I don't see anyone going after them and demanding they split it all up into single panels twenty goddamn miles apart
That's not entirely true. What I've heard, in an interview with a professional comic artist who makes money on Webtoons, is that Webtoons rewards authors for reading time. Those stretched out pages are likely trying to pump those numbers.
>>
>>147051145
It's simpler than that: 90% of comics readers on the planet read comics primarily on their phones, and scroll format is the most popular for phone users.
>>
>>147051287
> 90% of comics readers on the planet read comics primarily on their phones,
Photo galleries on phones swipe from left to right. There's zero reason to only have 1 option for scrolling comics
>>
>>147051287
That could be a possibility, but like I said, you don't see people going after these comics asking them to be made mobile friendly, the way you see droves of normies on itch.io asking for this or that game to be ported to mobile.
I'd say >>147051145 is the (equally sad and) more likely possibility here, Webtoons setting up a terrible system and authors trying to game it, the same way 20 minutes has become the algorithm approved standard on youtube
>>
>>147051354
The text is bigger in scroll comics. Also, side swipe comic sites still exist.
>>
>>147051354
>Having more than one option
This scares the Korean salaryman/salarywoman scrolling while taking a poo.
>>
>>147051444
>Some complain reading traditional comics is too hard on mobile
>zooming in or panel by panel exists
>They still claim that's too much

Are comic readers nowadays more retarded?
>>
>>147051287
I'm not retarded, Anon. I know why Webtoons has a scrolling format. What I'm talking about is the vast distances between individual panels you often see on Webtoons. Like I said, I heard this in an interview. With the author of The Shadow Prophet, I believe.

I... what... the fuck am I reading..?

Anyways, while reading that I stumbled upon an advertisement for a comic called Rising Sand, which seems significantly more promising.

Oh man Bunnyseries, I fucking love this comic.

I don't see you commenting. Be the change you'd like to see.

I'm pretty sure he's severely autistic and obsessed. Not sure if Roadie or Otto or uhh the guy who thinks it's okay to draw kids being beheaded but not taking a bath, Omeow was it? but there's a reason we can't have nice things. It doesn't matter how many people are cool, one or two obsessive shitters destroy the whole thing.
>>
>>147051690
Rising Sand is cool. But with how detailed the art is, and how long the pages take to make, I fear it's never going to be completed
>>
>>147049527
Wait, so this comic existed in a prior form?
I wish people would boycott the major hosts for being so terrible. Especially the mobile-focused ones.
>>
>>147050198
Automatic updating is another reason I can't imagine just making a site from scratch, unless someone has a program and can guarantee it will never stop working someday and become incompatible.
>>147050623
vertical is kind of ideal, since comics scroll with the scroll wheel downward. I'm actually surprised the era of 'widescreen good' didn't change that.
>>
>>147050860
oh nice. That's a cute premise.

the author is a 'they?'
>>
>>147052888
Sorry, should have said she. I'm just retarded and use they too much.

She's married and just had a kid.
>>
>>147053045
it's a really insidious habit to fall into. A ton of people think it's just easier, without realizing why that's being pushed.
also yayyyy!! i hate when webcomics end because someone had a baby, but i'm always happy for them reproducing.
See to me it feels like a webcomic (if you are making money) is kind of the perfect job to have a baby with. you can just draw and then feed baby and then draw and then pet baby and draw then change diaper then draw more. can't do that as a.. bank teller.

No, "Whoever the author is" is a they.
"Whoever Anon really is" is a they.
"The author" is not a they and "That Anon" is not either. It's not about information, it's about grammatical agreement.
situations of gender ambiguity is what 'he or she' is for.

Feast for a King actually gets pretty interesting despite its utterly shameless tumblrness. The art improves significantly as you go along. There's quite a lot of faggotry, both colloquial and literal, and at some point you can tell very distinctly that someone was bitching at the author about the lack of negras and fatties which hurts the character designs, but I got pretty hooked by the time I was about a quarter way through.

oh oh oh and another that gets overlooked, Rutabaga Adventure Chef
