This Winkler era Oswald short was found by the University of Wisconsin in 2019 and released online this week for the first time since it's now public domain.
>Miss Cottontail declines Oswald's marriage proposal, and he launches a series of unsuccessful suicide attempts, which culminate instead in his rescuing Miss Cottontail from a burning house.

Yep, a series of failed suicide attempts is indeed as funny as I expected it to be.

Do you suppose its the animation style or the joke itself that makes the concept work?
