>>147050164OK but why?
>>147050164Galactus forgot to erase his memory?
And that's all
Gambit variant covers
>>147050164>Galactus gave him a spades staff
>>147050174SHAKARA?
but why?
Well it felt like a self-contained story unlike the last one. Wonder why it wasn't considered for the X-Storytime. Is about a mutant.
>>147050337ha! this was well played.
>>147051461because it's not about muggas being muggas.
>>147051539All the same fuck [X] for not including it his thread.
>>147050360i though iterally fighting the collector was stupid, but now THAT'S a proper cosmic punishment
>>147051461>Wonder why it wasn't considered for the X-StorytimeThe guy who storytimes is a schizo who only cares for krakoa and drops the trip to tell people to fuck off if they ask for other mutant comics
>>147050106>Galactus Transformed Gambit #1WHY? Why would that even be an option? These aren't interesting if you just slap any premises together. There needs to be some hook, Some twist where character A took a different direction than what we've seen. This is just random shilling of a popular character.
>>147051676>This is just random shilling of a popular character. And yet amazingly enough it is one the few What If stories which has a good ending and for a mutant. this gives me hope the rogue what if story will be good also.
>>147051539It's a better gambit than the himbo Simone writes. Not that that's a particularly high bar toclear but still.
>>147050412This was pretty fun, way better then the Hulk one.
Much better than the last issue though that's not a high bar. I like that this one actually has an ending to the tale. I can buy that Galactus has the instruments and cosmic awareness to suss out specific individuals so no issues there. That Gambit would imediatly turn around and head back to earth to stomp his enemies is funny. I like that it's not just about Galactus needing a new herald to find new worlds (also, what's been happening to his old ones?) and that he actually had a heist planned. I wonder how The Collector was able to make this planet at all, I don't care who he hired, how would they manage to recreate a planet know one knows nothing about, that existed in the last iteration of the universe. Don't know what Galactus was expecting, wasn't he/isn't he a scientist? He should've called bs on that. I like that Remy got to keep his power, wonder how things will play out for the X-Family and their enemies now that there's basically another god walking among them
>>147052791>Don't know what Galactus was expecting, wasn't he/isn't he a scientist?despite being a cosmic abstract, Galan di Taa is still susceptible to mortal emotions.
>>147053046Hope, from the Devourer of WorldsI can dig itBut what then? relinquish his power somehow and live as a man again? Empower them all so they can make it to the next universe? Hide them away from all the people that would surely lash out against them for all Galactus has done?
>>147053095he obviously didn't think so far in advance.Emotions, as usual Galactus' true weak point.
>>147051539Gambit is the less mugga of the bunch. Also, he was pre X-Men.
>>147050106I fucking hate these what ifs
>>147051676Because Gambit's a good character that people like and his fans have been asking for him to do badass stuff again for years? It's not "shilling" a popular character, but rather using FINALLY a good character right.
I really liked it and it was fun. Gambit being this powerful thuoght was already done in his 99 solo, when he gained back his full powers and defeated the New Son. That Gambit destroyed planets and killed Phoenix. It's still much better than the TVA comic and whatever is happening in Uncanny.
>>147050412such a boring concept for a series
>>147050412Thanks OPThis was a fun oneThink I'll actually go pick this up
Reading
>>147050153Wow. Just zero lead in at all huh. You know when Silver Surfer became a herald it was because he offered his services in exchange for his planets safety. Granted Galactus has since become very amenable to the idea of heralds in general so it's not like he wouldn't accept one on a whim but you can't make this a little interesting? Like say Norrin never made his deal so it took Galactus longer to reach earth and he arrives after Gambit's been an X-man for a bit. Galactus then wipes the floor with the X-men because the FF are elsewhere engaged and in desperation Gambit offers the deal.
