God she's beautiful
Good episode. First, Ironwood. I like him. Trying his best to pick up the pieces essentially by himself after the fall of Beacon. Building his own team, creating his own plan. You can tell the stress is getting to him. The second he knows Ozpin is back he immediately bends a knee. Not to mention his hug with Qrow. He finally has more people to share the burden with. Also, his plan. It's great. I always thought the way the CCT worked was stupid. If one is down, they all go down? That's stupid. Ironwood's idea of having a satellite that can provide global communication in the one place Grimm can't reach is great. Not to mention, telling the world about Salem. Another great idea. It will cause a panic, but the entity of the Atlian military should be enough to protect Atlas. He's going about this in a smart way. One Kingdom at a time. No more keeping secrets.
>>1470874372/2And speaking of secrets. Ruby. I actually like that she's lieing to Ironwood. It's best to make sure he's trustworthy first. And while he may seem trustworthy in this episode, making extra sure can't hurt. Finally, the ace ops. I like them so far. Although I feel like the writers are trying to squeeze a bit to much characterization to quickly. I also like how the two girls are thick. And when I say thick I don't mean in the way most people nowadays Mean it. I mean there ACTUALLY thick. God I swear, white people ruined the wrod thick. It actually used to mean something. Not just "women with legs". When everybody is thick, no one is.
>>147087406I still am astonished from time to time how hard RT crashed. I wonder if the jew Ezra/WB just did a mob job to get the RvB and RWBY ip.
>"We'll follow your lead, Ruby."I'm somewhere in the middle on this episode. It wasn't great, but it wasn't totally bad either. It was mostly exposition, and some of that exposition was good (or at least functional), and some of it was bad. For example, at the beginning of the episode, Weiss calls the people who took them down "Ironwood's Ace Operatives." Then the mystery guy in the ship with them says "You guys had a run-in with the Ace-Ops? Ironwood must really have a bone to pick with you." Then immediately after that he says the Ace Ops are "Ironwood's personal attack dogs." Basically in the span of about 20 seconds, the show explains that these guys are Ironwood's personnel 3 times in a row, to really get the point across. Why is this necessary? In the grand scheme of things it's not really a big deal, it's just that it's one of the problems with the show in a microcosm - over explaining things that any savvy audience member could pick up on with context cues alone. They've done with semblances and auras multiple times. Ironically, the parts of the show that actually need this kind of exposition (basically everything about Cinder) are ignored. Other than that, the episode was mostly fine. Some of the smaller moments worked the best, like Blake telling Ruby that they'll follow her lead, which they do when Ruby decides to keep things about Ozpin and the relic a secret. Ironwood was extremely close to Ozpin, and since Ruby now distrusts Ozpin, it's natural that she would not immediately trust Ironwood as well. Weiss and Winter's, and Qrow and Ironwood's, brief hug were also nice character beats. Could have been worse, but also could have been better. >"Trying to hide the truth from the world will eventually kill us all."
>>147087735Ya. I feel like >Ironwood must really have a bone to pick with you.Was enough to get across there importance. Establish what they are in a clear yet subtle way. More shows NEED to get more comfortable leaving there audience in the dark.Wakfu is a great example of this. They throw a brunch terms at you and don't explain them. It's confusing at first, but as you learn more about the world it all starts to slowly make sense.
>>147087451>Finally, the ace ops. I like them so far.I thought you saw this already OP
>>147088233And the funny thing is, it's not even that hard to put together. They're all dressed in Atlas military colors and after they capture team RWBY and co, they throw them in an Atlas airship. Even after all this the writers still felt like they had to explain the Ace Ops three times lol
>>147088469Yeah, OP is constantly contradicting himself and giving inconsistent opinions. His posts feel so fake. That's why rarely anyone engages in a discussion here. I think just 2 or 3 anons discuss with each other the series in this board at this point.
>>147088812Nobody engages in discussion here except for me and OP because nobody on /co/ is actually here for discussions in the first place. 70% of this board is just gooner threads and ragebait. The other 30% don't even get traction. And he isn't contradicting himself in these posts. He avoids spoilers because he knows I haven't watched anything past volume 4.
Only idiots visit 4chan threads of canceled series and expect no spoilers to be posted. Now we need to self-censor our posts because of a single sissy asking for no spoilers?
Nobody asked for anything you illiterate fucking moron. Christ the IQ on this board is fucking low
>>147088953>>147088812>>147088469We cannot post spoilers!? Nobody gave me the memo. I ruined the entire plot of the series literally yesterday by sharing the easiest way to get rid of Salem. Now V7-9 will make even less sense to the alledged first-time viewer. Seriously, they could have defeated Salem during the Haven and Atlas arcs but Ozma's group chose not to because the plot needed to last over 10 seasons, visit 4 kingdoms, and unveil the 4 relics (when just one vault and relic are sufficient to deal with Salem).
>>147088469I know some people haven't, so I'm (mostly) trying to remain spoiler free. I also haven't seen these episodes since they first aired, so I've forgotten some of the smaller stuff (and a few big things)>>147088812What have I contradicted myself on?>>147089480I'm fine with minor spoilers. Just use spoiler text for major ones
