Everyone says "DC should've done solo movies first" but I dunno, DC movies work best when they are one offs or self-contained series of movies. Look at what people consider the best of DC's adaptations and most of them are self-contained stories about those heroes, with the exception of the DCAU because that was years in the making and had to rely on Batman to kickstart it.
