ngl it’s kinda crazy how much of the lion king’s pre web 2.0 days were mainly focused on the comic relief characters
>>147124078I used to think these two were gay as a kid Jewish Disney executives seem to agree
i’m not kidding either, they even have a buncha health and science PSAs:https://youtu.be/tXcb-7ynSwE?si=rulflXfLK3Yz_ErFhttps://youtu.be/Hax6NgZ8bM4?si=HKUxXrINMdFuvERU
>>147124078how long is his arm?
>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CWlub8_C1T8How many of you saw this as a kid, and what are your thoughts on it today?
>>147124078They had far more charisma than everyone else in the movie
>>147124222honestly ye i believe that’s the case as well
>>147124169About as long as his body
>>147124146It's called friendship yah mook
>>147124078They look the easiest to draw out of any other character
>>147124392eh. I’ve seen easier
>>147124162oh, and also a cerealhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EL-RcFDQC-E
>Web 2.0Fuck you cryptofag.
>>147124078Hakuna retarda
>>147124146Man can't be friends anymore, remember.Every character pair must be sexual.
>>147124998That's not crypto terminology, that's the industry-standard jargon for the current paradigm of the internet (user content, hyperlinks, etc.). You're thinking of Web 3.0, which is the cryptobro concept.
>>147124146honestly considering the fact they raised a lion cub to adulthood, it's not that hard to make gossip:https://youtu.be/u3HedY6X2hM?si=-gnu3fopW2QivV2-https://youtu.be/MKJ-tbc1e0A?si=bQrVeVJeIJau3aqd
(bump)
>>147124078This show was pretty good.
>>147124951I sure do love eating bugs.
>>147125502ye it’s a pretty fun slapstick romp also it introduced humans to the world of the lion king so there’s that
>>147125502I still remember that episode of Timon falling in love with himself>"Two's company, two's a crowd"
>>147124078I enjoy that Disney has leaned in to the idea that if The Lion King is Hamlet, Timon and Pumba are Rosencrantz and Guildenstern. To the point that The Lion King 1 1/2 is basically Disney making its own version of Rosencrantz And Guildenstern Are Dead. It's probably the last truly clever thing Disney ever did. I assume the idea predates Iger turning everything to shit.
>>147125847That show isn't canon to Lion King.
>>147125561marshmallow bugs, if thwt’s anything
>>147124078>Kids like the funny pig and rat Rosencrant and Guilldenstern and not the maudlin Hamlet yeah funny
>>147126566eh i mean, it was funny enough to warrant 65 episodes
>>147127743It had like 85
>>147124951I figured out the Jungle Jumble, guys.Hatata Mukana
I remember liking this show when I was a kid. Does it hold up?
>>147128894see: >>147125847
>>147124078I liked Timon & Pumbaa a hell of a lot more than the Sebastian segments in Marsupilami.
>>147124078Why those two though?
>>147124078I learned keyboard typing from their game
>>147128894It's my favourite Disney toon and The Pre-Toon Disney eps did fastpased Tex Avery-style humour better than classic SpongeBob did
>>147126108Well yeah, like all the direct to video sequels, it was from the time when Eisner lost his touch and was turning everything to shit, which has honestly become more preferable at this point.
>>147130877honestly eisner’s reign may have kinda fell of a cliff by the aughts, but at least he had a creative drive
Drones are becoming real now, or at least one of them is. I’m not too into this series, but I gotta commend the effort. Latest update here if you wanna see ithttps://youtu.be/WvK2F0Sk56kI would hug this thing would you hug this thing? I would
>>147124146>wtf two men with a friendship >they must be gayfuck people like you
theyre the best characters
>>147124078They were fag coded to get the kids into the homos grooming/adopting kids thing subconsciously. It kind of worked.
>>147124189Still funny
>>147131981wrong
>>147131992ExplainThey weren't funnyNo one I knew as a kid when it came out particularly liked them or thought they were coolThe cartoon starring them bombed hard as fuckNo one even talks about them today. They were artificially propped up propoganda weapons anon. Let's be real. These things all of them take money time effort and thought to create push and market. There is a will/collective will behind them pushing them forth. It is both right and our duty to analyze these characters, their creators, and the will behind them. Where do you think we are? This isn't a mindless fan page. We do big think shit here nigga.
>>147132023liar
>>147125502I also liked it, we even had a vhs casette that was some kind of episode compilation which even got introduced with it's own story, basically Pumba got hit by lightning and Timon tried to get his memory back by telling him stories about their past, which were the individual episodes that were shown. But thinking back it also was kinda "torture porn" heavy which I came to dislike more and more, almost similar to CatDog or Ren & Stimpy. I also distinctly remember two vore episodes that always freaked me out, one where Simba has to eat Timon and Pumba, and one where Timon gets turned into a cricket or something through gipsy magic and gets eaten by Pumba and has to find the way out of his body before getting digested
>>147132038Sorry about you being indoctrinated by early Disney fag propoganda. Hope you are doing okay.
>>147132050you seem like a fag
>>147124146Hard to believe when Timon had affairs with the princess of the Suricat kingdom til he was booted out, and Pumba had female boars going after him. They were literally modeled after David Spade and the late Chris Farley.
>>147133662Why didn't they get Spade and Farley to voice them then
>>147124146i mean Nathan Lane is but otherwise i think they are platonic.
>>147124146I mean every voice actor for Timon was gay so not that big of a stretch to see a sassy lil guy and a himbo adopting a kid as kinda gay.
I had to WORK at catching this show because Jisney wasn't added to basic packages for a long time and even then it had the weirdest time slot. The intro alone was funnier than most average episodes.
>>147124078So how was the show?
>>147124078Piper The Squirrel ruined my taste in women permanently
>>147124078Most of the cast is comic relief to some extent except for the lions.
What was his problem?
>>147139376He's got a door in his stomach.
>>147133827Disney being Disney, and Both were on the Shrek Project early on
>>147131332Wrong cartoon, buddy Write the crossover
>>147139376He was from the crappy Toon Disney era
>>147125502Its a better Ren and Stimpy than Snookums and Meat.
>>147140131Pretty sure the bear appeared before Toon Disney. I remember one where the pair ended up in jail and met the cutesy criminal bluebird they had arrested in a previous episode, and now the bird was using his innocent baby act to manipulate the bear as his bodyguard.
>>147140120Somehow copper nine teleports to the lion king world and it’s like majoras mask where it’s slowly getting closer and closer and soon will collide with it violently, and then cyn eats an animal at one point
>>147124078not that crazy actually
>>147140236Come to think of it, I think the bear was the only recurring character to come back for the Toon Disney season, likely because Jim Cummings (I think that was him) is so easy for Disney to rely on. Quint, on the other hand, only got one episode, wasn't named, and didn't even do his overblown introduction gag.
>>147141110It was shit, i hated those episodes. Always had the same title cards as well.
>>147140236>>147141110>>147141306Jailhouse Shock was a Toon Disney ep
>>147124951Personally I still mourn the loss of Bug Pops.
