In all sincerity, what the fuck is Godzilla meant to do with characters that are fast and strong? In most iterations he's a slow, awkward lumbering lump of scales and radiation. There's nothing he could to that'd touch opponents that can move FTE.

Then in the final battle, Mark mollywhops entire squadrons of Thragg’s kids, who themselves would’ve had more than enough time to get stronger since that’s their dad’s entire deal, and goes toe to toe with Thragg himself. Keep in mind that immediately after destroying Viltrum, he literally couldn’t scratch Thragg. I’d say that justifies an escalation of power for him to say that he upscales pretty handsomely from the Viltrum bust.
