I wann be striaght forward that I only planned on watching megaman and the Pac-man episode and while I know it's hated on here I did wanna still talk about it after like a month (technically) has passed. I mainly just wanna talk about this episode. To preface, I ironiclly enjoyed it being just so disconnected from the normal pac-man for the simple fact Pac-man was and is lost in the sauce these days from Namco forgetting and being unable to decide what the fucking Pac-world is to who and what Pac-man as a character is anymore with his last iteration(technically smash and that 1 party game on Wii) being rather static out side of smiling with his normal face. I saw only 3 real options: the voiceless original who has very little to honestly really form a short since he's just that simple and straight forward, no need to really question what he does, to the ill defined hero who had a show, the world series, and and entire pre made world, and then the meh version that being the one from the Disney show onward.I just liked that the setting for it, while overly edgy, was still something that at least felt neat for whatever the fuck the power pellet wanted out of things. The transformation bit was also nice A lot nicer in their little game trailer that the episode was to shill albeit but I don;t care that it's edgy pac-man, I care that its alternative pac-man so that it can be as retarded about some dark story as it wants without actually fucking with the normal one unlike the 3D show one. Though I was mostly interested in talking about the story with someone at least to some degree cause I wanna know what's outside the maze, where the pellet came from, how dogshit at Pac-man you have to be to fumble that close to the finish line, and well what you would have done if you had to make a short but it had to be this kinda premise.
Not sure why they called it a Pac-Man episode when it's really more of a Shadow Labyrinth episode.
>>147131340It's most of the same since Shadow Labyrinth has some tie to Pac-man outside of Branding, it didn't really explain where pellet came from or what actually lies beyond that labyrinth or what is even really going on which is what I'm wondering. She has a ton of those guys in storage in the short and each is seemingly compatible with whatever the extra fusion she does it, hell the game trailer shows she could have been doing far more with it, which I wanna know what the swordsmen are at this point. Form the sword being themed with Pac-man on the hilt to the purpose of telling them to keep consuming shit even if it doesn't seem to really actually make them stronger since she openly says she knew he couldn't beat Blinky(?) and just over shadowed his body to get past it in that Pac form.I'm hoping the game tells more since I am curious but basing it just off the short is hard.I managed to finish the other episodes and god they fucking sold on Megaman, even Spelunky seemed to offer more.
