Peak Ellis. Fantastic run
>>
His best work was Crooked Little Vein.
>>
I like how every character with the exception of song bird amd radioactive man were batshit insane in their own unique ways.
Telepaths infiltrating the prison ward and making the team go insane was kino of the highest order

Both Jeff Parker runs are good too.
>>
Finished the complete collection yesterday. This shit goes so hard
>>
What's your favourite Ellis work? I tried reading his moon knight but didn't really enjoy the episodic storytelling
>>
Read ths original thunderbolts run some time ago and melissa and abe's romance was one of my favorite aspects and then they broke up just because. Kinda soured on me a little.

Eventually ended up dropping the book in the middle of zemo and grandmaster's feud.

I'm normally meh on Ellis and I loved this run. Bendis' Dark Avengers felt like sloppy fanfic by comparison

The characterisation felt just right, even though venom and swordmaster weren't utilised much.
Songbird having just enough morals to not be a villain yet not being a hero either. And, my god, Moonstone. I have never ever enjoyed reading such a colossal bitch. It's like, she transcends bitchinness, she's something beyond, something words cannot describe, it's pure delight. I'm shocked she didn't become a mainstay villain after this run.

I read two issues of the Busiek Thunderbolts and it was generic.

It's good i promise

Been reading through T-bolts for the first time, still on Busiek. It's been good. Right now I'm happy my boy Hawkeye is getting some spotlight in what I'm up to

Fell is up there. Doktor Sleepless too. This Thunderbolts run is a 10/10.

He's fine. But i gotta admit, random ass shots at the least expected moments did make me laugh a bit

Really?

no

My favorite part of it is the run could've easily been a super edgy, asshole, crazy villains running rampant and being terrible with no consequences. But it was actually mostly about a dysfunctional team who were less than the sum of their parts continually getting their shit pushed in. Was great.
>>
>>147133639
It was shit and completely ruined everything the Thunderbolts was about.
