The worst comic Mark Millar has ever written continues to destroy the best comic Mark Millar has ever written.

I'm glad people are starting to realize just how much of a hack Millar is I never particularly liked Jupiter's Legacy/Circle either, it was mid at best
>>
>>147136215
I haven't been keeping up with this. Seemed like it was never going to continue.

My god. What happened with the art?
>>
>>147136649
People with a brain knew he was a hack since Wanted. The guy has interesting ideas they he completely ruins through edge and stupidity. However, his best work will always be Starlight.

I'll be honest, I thought Starlight was kinda stupid too. Like the villain in particular from that is his typical edgy asshole he likes to write which feels out of place in a Flash Gordon pastiche and the climax is really dumb. It's Millar's best sure but it's still not a particularly good comic, without the art there really isn't anything there.

It destroys starlight?

Absolutely retarded take.

The art isn't good but I don't get the hate. It's no Ultimates but I'd say it's on-par with your average Marvel or DC comic nowadays.
>>

How so? Like I said the villain is indistinguishable from every other callous asshole he writes, I'm sure the climax here will be the exact same as this one where the aliens are taken out by some deus ex machina of the own creation because of their hubris because it's being telegraphed hard as fuck just like it was there. I'm not saying Starlight is bad mind you, just that it's extremely predictable and the writing is mediocre at best. Millar is a really shitty character writer.

>completely ignores the page i used to btfo him
>>
>>147137418
How does that btfo? Oh cool it's Flash Gordon but he old and he's reminiscing about being young again wow so original that totally makes up for the one-dimensional characters and predictable plot.

oof

>the entire heart of the story went over his head
I feel bad for you.

The story and the reveal leads me to believe the first Jupiter's Legacy was ghostwritten, also the art in this season varies from awful to straight up stolen. Blows my mind he gets paid to put this out.

How so?

Different artist on this issue. I didn't realize it until just now that it wasn't Tommy Lee Edwards. Looks like the next two issues have another artist as well.
>>
>>147139000
Why did we have to wait like 3 years for this comic to finish if Edwards wasn't going to be the main artist? I honestly assumed the series was paused so he could just finish the whole thing himself.
>>

Huh, what about that flashback where it seemed like the original super heroes were actually just alien replacements or some shit and the actual humans were killed?
