And see that in other places like the hair and skin? If you animate that the splotches move inside of what it's a part of and it looks like the parent dream segment from Courage the Cowardly Dog, slightly. Another anon could give you a better example. As a non-animator, the splotches seem they would have to be added in with a computer this day and age, because coloring that frame by frame would be ALL over the place and take way too much time. That's why cartoons have that matte look and what breaks it up is shading.
