I have a confession to make. I... don't actually hate Punisher getting out of the streets and being tied to Death, or the personification of War, or whatever, and taking his War global. I think the Aaron series was legitimately trash and anything that has to do with the Hand is trash too, but if Frank was legitimately Ares' champion and then went around taking out all sorts of men, monsters and whatever, with magical weapons and whatnot, I don't think it'd be such a bad idea. There's only so many times you can read about him franking gangbangers.

I mean, think about it. It works on all facets. Ghost Rider, through all of the various retcons, has been on the side of Heaven for a while now. He's Vengeance. He's Retribution. But you could make Frank God's Left Hand. The man who wreaks havoc and is tied to forces darker, more primal than Angels. Plus, Frank's Italian. Tying Catholic Guilt with the Olympian Lore could work wonders.

Fuck the personification of Death and War shit but I agree about him getting out of the streets. The best thing they could do with Frank is make him the dude who deals with things too big for cops but too small for Capes, the stuff SHIELD used to deal with
