>Murdock-Sama, i-it's not like i like you or anything... B-baka!
>>147164137>Fisk meeting the man who toppled his criminal empire, his bid for mayor *TWICE*, got him sent to prison, got him beaten to a pulp by his own bodyguard/assassin during his wedding, beat the shit out of him also in that same wedding and when he was extremely close to escaping the city and avoiding prison which is his entire fault that he was being sent to (just to remind you again), forced him into a deal where he has to basically never see his wife again unless he wants to see her behind bars with him"It's not entirely unpleasant seeing you again."
>>147164395Man shit. You wouldn't understand
>>147164137You made me laugh, good job anon.
>>147164395This is the kind of stuff you expect out of a smug guy like Luthor, but MCU Kingpin is too much of a sperg for this dialogue.
>>147164137It’s hard to care about Kingpin after he got KWAB’d by the squaw cripple twice.
>>147164137>sama
>>147164137>>147164395>>147164620Matt already made him his bitch at the end of Season 3. It's understandable.
>>147164395And through all this, Matt is the closest thing Fisk has to a friend.
>>147164538read Love amd War. its in character
>>147164395Based matt
Kingpin is not Lex Luthor. He's supposed to be the combination of a braggadocio and a mobster that throws his weight around because he knows he can't be retaliated against, physically or by other means. It's why Gandolfini would've been perfect casting for him. The way how d’Onofrio slow rolls his lines is fucking insufferable to listen to.
I wonder of this season was supposed to set up the street level fourth Spider-Man movie thaw was replaced by more multiverse slop.
>>147165289According to the rumors, Marvel wanted Spider-Man 4 to be about Peter uniting and leading the heroes living in NY against Mayor Kingpin while Sony wanted it to be about Peter vs the SUMC Sinister Six. They seemingly compromised by having Spider-Man and Daredevil still team up in a story loosely based on "Planet of the Symbiotes".The Devil's Reign story seems to instead be getting loosely adapted in Born Again S2 where Daredevil will reform the Defenders against Kingpin.
>>147165271You wanted Marvel to pull out James' bones and dress it up in a Kingpin suit?
>>147165289>street level>ACKStop being a faggot. Spider-man has never been, nor will he ever be "street level". Especially this version of the character who was Iron Man's chosen one and basically has all the good parts of both Cap and Tony.
>>147166226Hire any Soprano actor then.
>>147165271Nah severely autistic Kingpin is great actually
>>147164137So I know that this wasn't actually meant to be a sequel to the Netflix series, rather just a separate show that happened to use some of the same actors, until the original version was such a mess they had to scrap it and rework it totally, but how is Kingpin logically back? Didn't the third season end with him being forced to play ball with Matt or he'd send Vanessa down?
>>147167238lol no
>>147164137>>147164395It's funny because they're like an old gay married couple
>>147165442>The Devil's Reign story seems to instead be getting loosely adapted in Born Again S2 where Daredevil will reform the Defenders against Kingpin.Ugh, no thanks pleaseI really don't like the Netflix Defenders
>>147167682The show itself, other characters or their shows? For me it's all three.Daredevil was literally the only good one. A real lightning in a bottle, and it's weird how they got it right the first time around and were so shit afterwards.
>>147167289He broke out of jail, Hawkeye and Echo showed that Kingpin and Daredevil were active during the Snap. It's sort of implied in Echo that Fisk lost Vanessa, either through the snap or seperation, and so Daredevil lost his leverage.
>>147167734All three, same as you. Throughout the miniseries the only one of the team I was invested in was, unsurprisingly, Daredevil.I'd much rather they adapt the real, classic Defenders (though of course, at this point the MCU has already fucked up Hulk, Namor, Valkyrie, soon the Silver Surfer, and possibly Dr Strange as well, so I guess it's a moot point)>Daredevil was literally the only good one. A real lightning in a bottle, and it's weird how they got it right the first time around and were so shit afterwards.I gave all of the other Netflix Marvel shows (including The Punisher) a shot, some even twice, and dropped all of them after a few episodes each. Daredevil isn't absolutely perfect, but it's so far ahead of those other shows that it's baffling they all come from the same producers.
