Looniversity should have NEVER happened.
>>

It doesn't bother me. I never saw a second of it and I never hear anybody talk about it. It might as well not exist.
>>
Nah incest is cool

It will get cancelled this year, trust me.

Does anyone feel like Tiny Toons was a massively squandered IP? During the early 90s, Tiny Toon Adventure was fucking huge and seen as a genre defying cartoon of its time. Got large ratings, won awards left and right and had a shit ton of merch and video games. You could met Babs Bunny during Hollywood events with then big name celebrities like Dick Clark, Debbie Reynolds, Milton Berle, Arnold Schwarzenegger and many others. It even saw large international success in countries like Japan and Latin America, where Buster was featured in a SNES ad alongside Mario, Ryu, Goku and others.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xzBHMmDBKuE

Despite all this, WB killed it after only 2 years despite clearly having a massive fanbase and could easily lasted up until 2005 or so. Much better than Rugrats which lasted up until that point.

Apparently, they close to bringing back Tiny Toons in the early 2000s, but we got Duck Dodgers instead. That's a shame, since you know they could have got Ruegger and crew back, as well as the original voice actors. But now, the voice actors have either died, retired, can't do the voice or went crazy like Charlie Adler, so we will never get a true Tiny Toons reunion.

Nowadays, nobody gives a fuck about Tiny Toons besides furfags drawing porn of the characters, and its cultural influence has since been largely ignored or forgotten by the masses. The general consensus seems to be that the show is "A worse Animaniacs that aged like milk" despite it once being top of the world and only behind The Simpsons in terms of cartoon hits back in the day. What a fucking tragedy, Tiny Toons genuinely deserved better.

Kids love it, check the ratings.
>>
>>147170928
The idea of the characters going to university is not bad, the problem was their terrible execution... I just hope that one day they will reboot it and pretend that that first version of Looniversity never existed
>>
>>147171818
At least it got the most kino movie of all time.

Although I always wondered if Danny Cooksey was unavailable to do Montana Max, or they just cut him for lack of interest/plot.

Better than Animaniacs bullshit

>>147172493
I don't get this mindset, why are you comparing the two? They are made by the same organization, this isn't a console war where you feel compared to prove your superiority complex

In group tribalfagging is just what /co/ does. Just look at DTVA and Glitch Studios.

>Nowadays, nobody gives a fuck about Tiny Toons besides furfags
said furfags played a big part in getting the show canned. WB started getting cold feet about the whole thing after the entire stalking escapade.

One does something significantly better than the other though

At first I disliked the idea of lovers becoming siblings, but then rule 34 opened my eyes to the potential that comes from them being siblings AND lovers.

>WB
There’s your answer. That fucking company has always been a shit show and it always will. You think how they completely squandered Tiny Toons is insane? Wait till you hear about how disorganized and poorly managed WB Animated films was.
I genuinely believe the success of Cartoon Network was because WB took a step back from micromanaging the studio which is sadly no longer gonna be the case

Which is retarded on his part if true, Why give up on an easy cashcow like that and not keep both going on? Imagine if Groening ditched Simpsons to Futurama, or if Seth did the same with Family Guy and American Dad.

Have you dipped your toes into this series, or did you get cold feet? Did it step all over your expectations after you licked between the lines? And did it even have the right footing on which to exist?
>>
>>147171818
Surprised they didn’t bring it back considering many of the 90s Kids WB shows did not catch on, at all. Shit like Waynehead, Road Rovers, Histeria and Detention came and went with no fanfare. Animaniacs ratings declined as well since the seasons on KWB sucked compared to Fox.
>>
>>147171818
Zoomers prefer Gumball over it, which is basically its spiritual succesor.
>>
>>147172467
There was already a LOT of characters/plotlines they tried to juggle, and the credits joked that it was risky to do so.
>>
>>147171818
Surprised they never attempted to do any anniversary specials or something for Tiny Toons and Animaniacs. Both of them deserved better than low quality 2020s reboots that actively shit on the originals.
>>
>>147173450
Nah, kids prefered action anime over Scorsese birds.

qrd on why this show was bad pls

I did hear that they implied incest with the 2 main rabbits which is funny desu.
>>
>>147172637
That's the weird thing. They are both Ruegger shows but there is this fight where each side accuses the other side of sucking. I like OG Animaniacs more than OG Tiny Toons but I enjoy both. See? Even there, I throw up a comparison. It's so ingrained that I have a dog in the fight when I'm just trying to point out that there is a fight.
>>
>>147173394
Not with the original.
>>
>>147176819
>I did hear that they implied incest with the 2 main rabbits
Close- in the original Tiny Toons, Babs and Buster weren't related and were constantly showing romantic affection for each other. The reboot made them siblings all of a sudden which makes all of that retroactively very weird- and they did it for no real reason! It's like they WANTED people to focus on an incest angle.

Furfags ruin everything, this isn't news, it's ancient internet lore that for some reason zoomers don't want to accept. Gatekeep dogfuckers wherever possible if you want to keep the things you love in a tolerable state.

The shortest, best answer is the original show had a lot of offbeat humor that could appeal to all ages, while Looniversity scrubbed out adults and teens as a targeted demographic (besides fetishists) entirely to make the most bland, toned-down toddler show imaginable for kids ages 8 and under, yet that audience is long gone
It's a show for no one
>>
>>147176943
Looniversity also forced the original team behind Tiny Toons to do a Rick and Morty spin off no one asked for instead of just giving them back Tiny Toons when they needed it the most.

>make a series about a group of kids for general audiences
>make a nostalgiabait sequel series where those kids grow up and go to college, but aim it exclusively at a kid audience
What the hell were they thinking?

>Surprised they never attempted to do any anniversary specials
WB had completely lost interest in both properties by the mid-2000s (it took us until 2013 to get most of TTA on DVD), and it's not like any network at the time would order a special themselves. The shows kept alternating reruns between Nick and Cartoon Network during the late '90s and early 2000s, and as each channel really took off with their original programming, any licensed series that wasn't Looney Tunes or an anime got slowly dropped. Meaning, TTA and Animaniacs missed out on an entire generations of kids, and you kinda need those to justify an anniversary special of a cartoon. TTA isn't like Powerpuff Girls, which could get as many post-series specials as it wanted due to maintaining a good deal of cultural recognition.

We have proof that TMS was supposed to do a segment for TTL (episode itself was by Snipple) before they got shafted for more Rick and Morty shit no one asked for.

The woman's X account even got deleted because she broke an NDA set by Warner Bros, that fact that she draws NSFW content during her off hours is 100% meaningless and is unrelated to TTL's production.
>>
>>147177194
TTA still has a good deal of cultural recognition, thats what happens when you have people who worked with Hayao Miyazaki run your product.
