Im about 600 pages into BC (about 200 pages after the BC team took over from the ^2 team) and holy shit the jump in quality after the team shift is crazy, and its actually good? As soon as the BC team took over shit started happening and it didnt devolve into melodramatic relationship drama from the epilogues and the first 400 pages and actually feels somewhat like homestuck again, obviously they still have to deal with the awful baggage of the epilogues and what the ^2 team continued with but it actually feels like they want to do something cool and they're executing on it well, even the artstyle change is really nice

It would’ve made far more sense for Dave to be the trans one rather than John. To me, Egbert seems in no way or fashion to suggest any symptoms of “Gender Dysphoria”, which is the condition which leads to people with it transitioning. If I had to imagine someone with that condition, they’d compensate hard pretending to be their own gender, until something breaks that results in their transition. To me, Egbert doesn’t really particularly SEEM like that type of person. He seems quite comfortable with himself, all things considered. At least AT FIRST.Strider on the other hand seems like a more plausible candidate for it. To me, he feels like he tries WAY too hard, in a way that fits the mould for something like that. Maybe I’m wrong, as I’m not entirely informed on the condition itself (on that fact alone you should take this with a MASSIVE grain of salt), but idk man It seems like it makes more sense that John being the trans one.Regardless, I don't really mind what they do with John, or rather soon-to-be June.
