It seems clear to me that Jax and Pomni share some kind of important connection narratively, with Pomni's original design probably inspiring Ribbit. It would not surprise me if Ribbit and Pomni were basically the same character in an earlier iteration of the story, but Goose realized she wanted Pomni to do some things that were incompatible with this initial version, choosing to move some of those ideas into a new character instead.But I don't really see what this connection could be, aside from the fact that they are oddly compatible.
