I'm not disappointed that the "twist" is that the escape was fake; I knew that from the start. What I'm dissapointed is that we spent 30 MINUTES just to learn absolutely nothing. I think had this been 20 minutes of that and the next 10 minutes revealed actual plot stuff, I would have been happy. I think Goose expected the episode to be divisive because she thought people would really believe they were escaping, but I think it was fairly obvious for everyone that all that dumb lore stuff was fake from the start. But really, it will be divisive because we all expected something else to happen.

For a moment Kinger seemed to realize something, but then forgot the moment he stepped out of his pillow fort. Clearly Kain knows that Kinger knows something, but Kinger doesn't know what he knows. The bigger mystery is how this a 2-parter? Everyone keeps describing that there was supposed to be only 8 episodes the entire series, yet they chose this ep as the candidate to saw in half. From that description, I was expecting the entire crew to be halfway out of the circus, but someone fucks up near the finish line and everyone's trap on a cliff edge, or someone everyone likes turn out to be working for Caine all along, and smash the exit at the last minute. Now I'm just expecting ep 8 for everyone to wake up and pretend to start a new adventure, but openly angry at caine and wants him dead, instead of just an actual journey to any exit at all. This should have been ep 5, not 7.

Fuck this episode.
This episode felt super weird. Uncanny. The real life scenes, Jax's hallucinations in his room, a whole new character being introduced and having all of this exposition dumped on us about how to leave for it to turn out to be nothing in the end. The lack of music for a lot of it too. It all felt like nonsense. Like a horrific hallucination by AI that's rotting. Very dreamlike. It was really really odd I can't shake that feeling. It felt like B3313 if anyone knows what that is. I don't know if I'm losing it but I feel like the lighting writing music and just everything was slightly off this episode intentionally to mess with us. It felt so strange and I can't shake this feeling for whatever reason.Am I going crazy?
