Loona is honestly one of the best examples I've seen of a socially awkward, isolated but gifted person I've seen. She's clearly intelligent and highly capable, but chooses or feels she can't act on it because of her background and her own awkwardness. Her hostility towards Bee in episode eight is a great example. She sees Bee and feels utterly eclipsed by her, by her warmth, her friendliness and energy. When Loona is those things, when she allows herself to be (ie Octavia, calling Blitzo dad etc,), but is trapped by a combination of her own perceptions and the social structure of hell. Frankly I tend not to see much of myself in the women I like, and Loona is one of two i see myself in to a point its gotten both intimate and uncomfortable.
