That's enough for today - I'll start on X-Factor v2 tomorrow as an early Christmas present.
>>151830185This mystery villain in Genosha was supposed to be a new character called The Isolationist. A few years later, Sugar Man gets used as the mystery villain under Genosha, while Peter David re-used his original plan for the mystery villain in X-Factor v2.
I'm not caught up to this thread yet in the storytime, but where was this Quicksilver when he was on the Avengers? He's way more interesting on X-Factor than his main team.
>>151848148Quicksilver isn't written like a Peter David character in Avengers because there isn't a Peter David run on Avengers, and that book doesn't have the comedic tone Peter David X-Factor tends to have. Also most Avengers lineups tend to have a number of more popular characters who the writer will be more focused on. This X-Factor team was a squad of lower-tier characters getting their chance to shine.
