It both really looks like Gravity Falls and really captures the traits and essence of the characters while simultaneously obv being so off-model and much more detailed than the show. Like, DP Mabel 'looks more like Mabel' than any other example of her drawn in a different style/with more detail that I have ever seen. It's in the eyes, the noses, the smiles. the expressions, there is definitely a science to it.It's so perfect that frankly I'm surprised more artists don't pull from or are otherwise clearly influenced by the style. The only other artist that is rather similar that I can think of off the top of my head is The Cold Fusion.
