I get the idea that maybe the cast was supposed to interact more with each other. But Pomni and Jax clearly became the favorites and the rest are just like there. Though Ragatha got it the worst since Gangle at least still has her side plot with Zooble.

I’ve gone back and forth on this, but I think that line going to Gangle would make sense for Gangle, but for Jax to accept it in stride wouldn’t make sense for Jax at this point in time. Accepting it from Pomni is one thing because she’s already seen his other side, despite his best efforts, so it wouldn’t be a surprise to him that she thinks he needs reassurance even if he still wants to pretend he doesn’t, making it easy to brush off. But if fucking GANGLE of all people suddenly saw through him and called it out in front of EVERYONE when he’s already in such a raw place, I feel like this brain would grind to a halt. And it’d lessen the impact of him exposing himself in the button room as a human with complex emotions, if even the person he’s most successfully kept in her place already knows otherwise. It’s like, what’s even left to hide?

ANOTHER another thing I saw someone point out and I could potentially agree with is Goose's attitude towards Jax vs. how he's treated in the show contributed to this whole thing. She'll insist he's a terrible person who we shouldn't treat so kindly, and then in the show he faces no real repercussions for what he's done from anyone besides himself and is offered grace and patience from the main character over and over again. And we just know that nobody is going to be mad at him for pushing the button in episode because his deteriorated mental state is punishment enough, so Pomni must scramble to save him.
