Yep he named it Frankie, but I don't like it being literally It, since its clearly taken as a joke. I think what makes the latest chapter I released work so well is 3fold. 1. I was relying on a well tested trope. The beach excursion. And the characters were well aware of it and played into that aspect. They themselves were indulging in a fantasy they couldn't as much as I was. i won't try to lather it on thick like I did with that chapter for future ones but I think it's an element to consider. 2. The characters were active. I find it easier to write the characters when their doing something. Even if when they talk they are pausing their actions to discuss things. (I actually want to fix this if possible, and write in them doing and talking at the same time. Perhaps with more standard dialogue if need be) 3.writing these two kids actively confronting each other without either of them being upset is basically impossible and I was trying to do that, so I'm just gonna not do that.
