I give it a solid 6.5/10.Easily the best thing that has come out of this franchise since the original show ended, but its not a bar that was too high to begin with.Animation alone gets a 10. Avatar has never looked and felt this good ever. The artstyle might throw off some people cuz its a bit too anime but I think it looks fine and is a natural refinment and evolution from Korra.Story is a 5. Very predictable and the use of the MacGuffin staff is eye-rolling, but it gave some interesting world-building and neat retcons. Hard focused on Aang and maybe Katara. The rest of the cast barely do anything. Zuko specially is just a background character. Toph's one liners are kinda funny at least.But man the thing that brings this movie down by a longshot is THAT FUCKING VOICE ACTING. WHO WAS THE ABSOLUTE IMBECILE THAT HIRED ALL THE FEMALE VOICES. Every man sounds fine to a certain extent. Sokka's VA is the only saving grace. All the women in comparison have a ridiculous lack of emotion, specially Katara. That gets a 2/10.Overall Its like an almost dried up oasis in a desert of shit, Id rather drink that than die of thirst. Although I expected much much more. Also no Azula/Iroh and Suki got sidelined hard until the end credits with only still images. Thats lame as fuck.
