When I first watched it I didn't like human Gangle, but O guess human Gangle is better than what /co/ kept posting. I guess the main thing since the pilot was escape to wwhat the circus people use to be, and the reveal that it's actually just what they are. Feels very Ghost in the shell philosophy. In a lot of ways also feels like that old show Reboot. The movie worked for contextualize the circus through Jax's eyes but really didn't do much for the other character like Ragatha. It is nice though that with everything everyone seemed happy at the end.

I think what bugs me the most about the finale is Pomni's "I should have pried harder" line. It is so fucking obvious that this line was slapped in there after some test screening because it was fucking obvious that Pomni was absolutely retarded for not walking after him. It feels like the line was put there to try to give the idea that Pomni was too pre-occupied to worry about Jax, but that almost makes it even worse considering how much she had been worrying about him by that point ("Be here later.")

Would they have treated the abstractions more kindly now that Pomni knows there's some of the real character in there, or would the abstractions have continued to suffer in silence?

Like this the suicide metaphor is maintained while also using the setting (characters can't die in the traditional sense, the song like you mentioned, Pomni saying they don't need help with him 'yet', etc.) to leave the door open for recovery of a sort. Though personally I doubt Jax will be able to fully come back to the way he was before - abstracting will leave its permanent marks. I imagine something like the half-abstracted blind box forms.Also, it's great fanfic fodder regardless of which of the two options you personally subscribe to, and boy can I use some of those after that ending.

You just missed everything important because you weren't paying attention. You'll understand what's happening if you look at the stuff the show is visually showing you, the show is badly paced because of how short it is so some things are more difficult to spot and only show up quickly. But that's a flaw of the pacing, not consistency.Unlike with TADC where things do genuinely just happen for no reason with no setup. Murder Drones gives you information visually and everything is shown to you with intent, you just have to connect the dots because it's a mystery autism show.
