We go from Peter's boyish crush on Liz in Homecoming to him mooning over MJ in Far From Home to them being in a relationship in No Way Home without ever really getting a serious scene between them.I'm not as down on their Chemistry Trademark Symbol as others, but it's pretty obvious why it didn't take off. The movies just genuinely did not bother to give you any scenes to get excited about. Meanwhile Peter/Jean is also pretty much all Potential-ship too, but that potential is dynamic and exciting. Both obvious paths to follow but also a strong set of characters and conflicts to consider how it'd shake out. What did MJ have? Making cutting but ultimately vapid remarks?
