If you download it, theres an option in the main menu to update and add a lot more mods, many of them have skins, props, maps and characters. And in game you could always export the ingame skin texture map and tweak it in photoshop.

Also the game's lighting and materials is very limited, so I have to cheat like adding circled shadows and colored shadows to , example, objects in contact with the floor or a womans breasts glow.
